Food and Fire: Create bold dishes with 65 recipes to cook outdoors Hardcover – May 14, 2019
Purchase options and add-ons
Cooking with fire is primal. There is nothing simpler—no metalwork, no fancy gadgets, just food and flame—allowing you to take the most basic of ingredients and turn them into something special. Cultures across the globe have cooked in this way, developing their own innovative methods to combine heat and local flavors. Food and Fire takes the best of these global artisanal techniques—from searing directly on the coals to rotisserie, wood-fired ovens, cast-iron grilling, and plenty more—and creates 65 lip-smacking dishes to cook outdoors and share in front of the fire with family and friends.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great introduction to outdoor cooking
I have been learning how to BBQ more than the usual fare for the past couple of years and this book is a real sounding board for anyone interested in changing their mindset on cooking. Some fairly unconventional cooking techniques and flavour combinations that ignite a newfound inspiration.
I always think of cookbook as an inspiration more than an instruction manual. Seeing how you can approach cooking in a different way really opens up different ways of doing things.
Have recommended to many people since being gifted this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Food & Fire - An Absolute Triumph
Food and Fire is an exquisite cookbook, except it’s actually more than that. Every page is filled with the fabulous personality of its author and his passion for outdoor cooking which oozes from every page. Finally I have the definitive BBQ/outdoor cook book for go to recipes a cut above some of the similar books available at the moment. I’ve been very fortunate to have been on two of the Authors BBQ Classes and seen these dishes cooked first hand. You have my word that they are simply delicious and every bit as inviting as they look on the pages. I’m off to make a batch of chimichuri and some dough ready for bread tomorrow to go with our steaks, cooked a la Marcus, if course.
I can not recommend this book enough.
