Great Product however purchase from othe
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I have been using karoo for several years and without a doubt the best device on the market. I did have a unit fail after the 30 day time limit with Backcountry / Competitive cyclist. I realize that devices can sometimes fail. Which I did have. This supplier states that it takes 12-15 business days for a response. Id question any additional purchases from this site. This is beyond poor customer service! With doing MTB and other offroad adventures. One must have GPS. Therefore I had to purchase an additional unit while waiting for Backcounty to even reply for RGA and replacement. this will take some time. 3 weeks and counting. I suspect it will be a minimum of 4-5 weeks before resolution. If it were a pair of socks then no big deal, for an essential item, its a different story. If purchase direct from Karoo / Hammerhead returns are handled within 24 hours. buyer be ware.

Needs more basics
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I thought a might like to switch from Garmin, I was wrong. Unless you use TrainingPeaks you cannot get work outs onto the device, and if you do, they do not allow an “until lap button” interval. Route syncing through Strava is clunky compared to Garmin. The interface is a lot nicer, and I really like the “turn in x mi” always being there but not enough to continue use over a Garmin.

Best Strava Integration
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I love the big display, the frequent updates, the fact that I can put a SIM card in it. But it's the Strava integration that sets it apart from all other bike computers.

Great for Road, not so much Off Road
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I've used Karoo 2 for five months now. It has may great features, especially the screen. However, it is heavily weighted towards road riding. It's off-road maps don't include contours/topography and the trail names are either non-existent (until you zoom all the way in) or very small and difficult to read (again, they're only seen in full zoom and even then, the text is small and discontinuously shown along the trail).
