How to Descale/Clean the Kettle?

1. Filling the kettle with 1 cup of vinegar or lemon juice and 2 cups of water.

2. Boiling the liquid and leave it for 2 hours, then use a cloth to clean and wipe.

3. Rinse the kettle with clean water, and dry with a soft, clean cloth.

4. Repeat as needed.

Bought this kettle to replace my old electric kettle because it wouldn't turn on. This kettle design and build is very sleek and sturdy. I also like how wide the top opens for easy cleaning It boils very hot and very fast and I like the cool looking blue lights when it boils.I also bought the 3 year warranty in case it dies out before than but if this thing can last me for three years with how much I use it than it's definitely worth it.

    Love this Kettle. We have a Cosori dehydrator now for about 3 years and like it very much, so we decided to buy the kettle. Heats water quickly to a boil; noise is like anything that boils water. No problems in 3 months so far. Plenty big for 2 of us. Great value, like that its clear glass with stainless steel bottom.

    Edit to add that almost 4 years later, it still works like it did out of the box and i use it regularly.

    Wow! I love this kettle! Super easy set up. Literally all I had to do was take it out of the box, set it on the base and plug it up. No parts to put together, no issues at all. Using it is just as easy. Simply fill it with water and push down the tab button located right under the handle. Within 2 minutes you hear it begin to boil. Even with a full kettle of water it is boiling within 4 minutes. The auto shutoff feature was the key selling point for me....AND IT WORKS GLORIOUSLY! After full on boiling for a minute it shuts off. Even if you turn it right back on, it will shut off within a minute. You can't fool it at all. I'm not sure if the actual temperature but it's super hot. So far I've used it for oatmeal, tea, soup, mop water, and just about anything else that I've needed really hot water for. 😂😂🤷🏽‍♀️

    About the kettle/ pitcher itself. I've dropped mine, it didn't break. It is warm to touch from the outside after boiling but not hot enough to cause major burns, as a metal or glass pot would be. Same hot water, safer. The lid swings open while staying attached, but must be released first using the bottom at the top of the handle. Another safety feature in my opinion. The water only pours from the opening, even when turning upside down, unless you release the lid. The handle is super comfortable and easy to grip and hold. Lastly, visually its easily noticeable if it is on or has finished as it has small blue (led maybe) lights around the inside base of the kettle that are only lit when it is on. The power button also lights up.

    Overall, I have great things to say about this kettle. If I could suggest one thing, it would be the only thing that I have found slightly bothersome. The power cord is fairly short. You'll need to place it within 3 feet of a power outlet. My house was built in 1938 so placement was difficult for me and I have to unplug something In order to use it. Maybe a retractable cord holder in the base might work better for some users. I needed the cord to be just under 5 feet in order for it to remain both plugged up and sitting on the counter top. Again, this is a minute concern and doesn't affect the usability AT ALL. Heck I might be the only one who even cares about it!

    Great product that has had me looking to purchase other items made by Cosori that are BPA free, safe, easy to use, and family friendly.

    As I was using this kettle the other day, I thought about how much I really love it.

    The water boils very quickly. It's delightful to watch the water boil through the glass. It's a larger kettle so I can make water for 3-4 people if needed. At first the blue light bothered me, but now I like it.

    I've had this for a few years now with no issues. I follow the instructions for descaling on a weekly basis or whenever I see discoloration on the stainless steel heating element, and it still looks good. The wide opening at the top makes it easy to clean with a long handled brush.

    We purchased this lovely glass electric water kettle to replace a 4 y/o Epica Kettle that was stainless-lined and had a temp control ranging from 160* to 212*. It functioned very well for all four years. We decided on the Cosori because of its great reviews, beauty, BPA-free quality. We have had it for several weeks now, and have been happy. The Cosori is quieter, heats water faster, and the glass carafe is definitely more sophisticated-looking that our old unit. There is piece of mind knowing that the water is BPA-free.

    I did not give this kettle five stars because of the delay in which the unit shuts off after the water reaches the boiling point. I have owned a Brand X, a T-Fal, a Capresso, and an Epica prior to this kettle, and all of them shut off much earlier than the Cosori. When filled to 1L mark, the Cosori took 27 seconds to shut off from a full rolling boil. When filled to the 1.7L mark, it took 45 seconds to shut off from a full rolling boil. Tremendous amounts of steam comes out of the pot during this time, enough to do damage to your kitchen cabinets, steam off wallpaper or damage flat paint on a wall if nearby.

    I thought something might be wrong with my kettle, so I contacted Cosori by email. To their credit, they answered my question within 24 hours. However, they indicated that there is nothing wrong with my kettle; the shut off delay is there to make sure all the water is heated to boiling. I would not leave this kettle unattended while preparing food; if you aren't going to be around when the kettle is going to reach boiling, make sure it is pointed away from any surface and definitely keep young children away from its spout. I take care to pull it out away from my cabinets and have the spout pointing toward my kitchen sink, then manually flip it off.

    If it's ard $40 i would give 5 stars. I expect a bit more high quality for its price.

    To read reviews for kettles on amazon you would think that no one makes a kettle worth buying! In mass production will there be a few duds? Yep. But mine came early, is large and easy to clean. Had a bit of a smell, but after you boil water a few times it is gone. What makes it superior to the other leading LED glass kettle? Well, having owned both now, this one is much larger at the opening and so easier to clean. And the button on the handle is far superior in design as with the other kettle you have to pinch two spring buttons on the lid itself, which, after the kettle has boiled are bloody hot! Am happy with buy.

    I love this kettle and have been looking for a glass one for quite a while. The temp control and auto shut-off are great features, the glass never gets too hot. The only issue I found is that it scales quite easily so I've had to descale it twice now after only having it for a month...but that's fairly easy so it's not a huge deterrent. I would recommend this kettle.
