Purchased this as a special gift my my mil's 70th Birthday coming up. I wanted to treat her with this duffel bag. She goes away all the time on getaways almost every weekend and I thought this could be perfect as a gift. It is so large and spacious. Love all the attention to details such as the pockets inside and out and the pattern inside as well. It's a beautiful pattern that I think she'd like. With so many patterns to choose from it was quite difficult to pick one but I think the coral floral was a good choice. It's a subdued coral.... not too bright and with a pretty floral pattern. I love the pattern inside even more.

    You usually can't go wrong with Vera Bradley. Her fabrics are always top quality, and this bag is no exception. The fabric's pattern is just delightful. It almost makes packing less arduous, haha. The handles AND long adjustable shoulder strap give you necessary options for carrying. The shoulder strap is wide, helping to make the experience slightly less painful. When the bag is full it is obviously quite heavy. Probably not something you would want to carry through the airport, but could if it was your only bag. You would never want to check it and have it handled by a baggage carrier. It is a really nice bag. You would have to check with your airline to see if it could be a carry on because of it's size.
    If you are traveling by car, this is your bag. It has several well placed pockets, another hallmark of Vera Bradley designs.

    I searched everywhere on Amazon for a good duffle bag that was large enough to travel/act as a weekender bag. There were not many options that fit the requirements of being a large bag and a good quality one. I gifted this to my boyfriend and he loves it. Fits all of his clothes whether they are bulky or not and more. The only downside to this is the paddle on the shoulder strap, it's on the thinner side with less padding. But let's be honest, no one really going to be having their packed duffle bag on their shoulders for a long period of time. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has a guy in their life who needs a durable/good quality bag for traveling.

    I mainly wanted this duffle for the size. I keep my shoes in their box they come in so they won’t lose their shape. When I travel , that’s a problem because of room. I can fit several pair including boot boxes in this duffle. It protects my shoes and keeps them together. I love Vera Bradley bags and only wish the fabric I select was available in all of the accessories. I like mine to match. I only buy on sale and feel like I am getting a beautiful bag at a fair price. For those that think it is too large……the product description clearly states the size; so it shouldn’t be a surprise.

    I have used this for several weekend road trip. It is always big enough to hold everything. I absolutely love the size, shape, straps, and amount of pockets. It feels well made and durable for cloth but cloth is not the most durable. I do not take it on airplane travel because I don't want to get it dirty in that way. But if you took it as a carry on, depending on how packed it is, it might fit in the overhead. If it's stuffed, I'm not so sure. I would worry to check it though. I'm sure it washes, but I have bad luck with checked bags. I'm on my 3rd set of hard shelled cases, they always come back more scuffed and gross than the previous trip, and the way they get slung around, I would just worry my pretty duffle would come back with large stains or handles ripped off. I love this bag too much for that.
