PROPPMÄTT Cutting board cracked as care instruction non-existence and symbol on wrapper is misleading and confusing.HedyI bought the chopping board about two weeks ago. I tried to look for instruction of care but found none. The only symbol on the wrapper is a fork & glass inside a square, and nothing else. I assumed that it meant the chopping board is dish washer safe, or else, there will be a big cross over the symbol. I used it once and put it in the dishwasher to wash. To my shock, the chopping board came out cracked along the two glued lines. When I tried to exchange the board, the customer service manager Amy refused the return because it was washed in the dish washer. I found the wrapper of the symbol was confusing and misleading> Without any words written on the product wrapping, I think Ikea should give a leeway for the misinterpretation of the care instruction. I'm also not happy with the curt treatment from the Ikea customer representative. The rude behavior of the staff at Ikea Polaris was unacceptable and she made my shopping experience over there quite unpleasant. 1

Rough FinishDianThe finish was rough and it took a lot of scrubbing and some sanding to get it smooth enough to use.2
Poorly finished and warpedPetrBoard was rough all around (NOTHING like the photos here) and didn't even sit flat. It has a slight warp to it. Very disappointed and the closest IKEA is 1.5 hours away so driving there to return this $10 board is not worth it.1
Split at one endNevinThe one I ordered had a tiny split at one end. I tried to ignore it but on a slight impact in the following week, the split became very prominent. Ikea was nice enough to offer refund/replacement2
SmelledZhuangThe cutting board is very convenient to used, but it has a strong chemical smell. I wonder if it will be disappeared. Hope it helps.2

Wish we loved itRebeccaThis broke clean in half along one of the wood seams after a few trips in the dishwasher. I hand-washed most of the time, but sometimes needed a bit of extra cleaning power.3
