SAY ANYTHING IN CONCERT:

Emo/pop punk band Say Anything have mastered the art of penning infectious, melodic pop songs without losing their edge, continually pushing their sound  forward by incorporating elements from genres as far-ranging as math rock and indie pop. The band expertly balances their high-octane material with frontman Max Bemis' softer side, treating fans at their live shows to the full gamut of sonic experience, from frenetic barn burners like "Alive With the Glory of Love" to introspective acoustic songs like "Belt." With their highly anticipated eighth album Hebrews due out in the summer of 2014, the band will hit the road on tour in support of the release.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Formed in Los Angeles in 2000, Say Anything self-released their first two EPs, Junior Varsity and In Your Dreams, as well as their debut full-length Baseball:  An Album by Sayanything. In 2004 they made their label debut with ...Is a Real Boy, released on Doghouse Records to a Top 10 spot on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart. Despite lineup changes and several hiatuses brought on by health issues suffered by frontman Max Bemis, the band's next three albums were all Top 40 hits on the Billboard 200, making them a festival staple and constant presence on the Vans Warped Tour. In support of the 2014 release of eighth album Hebrews, the band once again hits the road for another round of high-octane shows.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

" Say Anything put on an incredibly upbeat and amazing show. If you get the chance to see these guys live... it's a must!"

" From the moment they took the stage to the moment Max left, the venue was filled with energy. It was probably one of the best concert experiences I have ever had."

" Say Anything was, of course, spectacular. It was super exciting to hear them play so many of their older songs that I never thought I'd get to hear live. Overall, great show!"

    Even better 20 years later

by JMo on 5/21/24The Pageant - St Louis

Max brings all the energy, unexpected harmonies, and crowd-engaging singalongs to his 20th anniversary show, where Say Anything is better than ever with the musical accompaniment of some truly extraordinary players. Sherri Dupree’s encore vocal duet manages to improve an already stellar song (“I Want to Know Your Plans”). I once saw Ben Harper ruin one of my favorite Pearl Jam ballads (“Indifference”) when he sang it with Eddie in concert, but Sherri did whatever the opposite of that is. I love Say Anything, and have seen them live a handful of times (including the 10th Anniversary show), but this show is probably my favorite thus far. Max Bemis is incredible!

Great show, excellent staff, beautiful venue

by KT-2-HANDS on 5/20/24Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

My brother and I saw Say Anything on 05/17 and we had a blast. The concessions are expensive, like $12 per beer, but that's on par with most venues. Every staff member we spoke to was friendly, the bathrooms were clean, the venue was beautiful, and entry was smooth. Overall, 10/10 experience.

Other than getting kicked in the face by a crowd surfer who really should have read the room and had no business being as heavy as he was, attempting to crowd surf from the side, where a bunch of melinnial girls were standing, The show was great! Say Anything was amazing, as usual!

    House of Blues forever

by Allie on 5/15/24MGM Music Hall at Fenway - Boston

Literally all it is, is a newer version and knock off of the House of blues. I want to enjoy it, since it’s “trending” to perform there apparently….But they are no comparison, (especially staff wise), and the entire arena is built, almost as a total copy of the HOB. I’ve lived in Fenway For about six years now (10 minutes outside of Boston my entire life) I was raised off amazing music by both of my parents. Concerts were our “thing” as a family. I was going to the House of blues for concerts at a very young age. and I think this is the biggest joke and waste of money AND space in the back bay. It’s a knock off, missing the third eye and the fully packed venue that the HOB has, It always felt like home. people who love music can’t afford to even sit in those seats. I think it’s annoying and overrated, and we didn’t need it in Fenway. The performance itself was amazing. The venue will never be a place I would ever choose AT ALL in first this state to see some of my favorite bands. But my love for music triumphs. my dislike for MGM -as It would NEVER be my choice place of mine to see a concert. Probably last in the state. The only convene is that it’s up the street. But it kind of kills the vibe of my true love for music
