About

To celebrate two decades of 'Give Up' and 'Transatlanticism', The Postal Service & Death Cab for Cutie have joined forces for an unprecedented 20th anniversary co-headline tour. Each night, Benjamin Gibbard, the co-founder of both bands, will pull double duty performing with The Postal Service - comprised of Gibbard, Jimmy Tamborello, and Jenny Lewis - as well as with Death Cab for Cutie (alongside Nick Harmer, Dave Depper, Zac Rae, and Jason McGerr). The extraordinary live run will see both iconic groups performing their seminal 2003 albums in full.

    Love The Postal Service

by Jayne on 5/19/24Moda Center - Portland

The show was amazing from start to finish. Everything was perfect!! Can’t wait for them to tour again someday. I will be there for sure for as many shoes as I can afford. I went to two this time around Seattle and Portland. Both were amazing!! Thank you Postal Service and Death Can for being the best bands!!

    Absolutely fantastic!

by Scotch on 5/19/24Moda Center - Portland

The music was amazing, but most importantly, it was so great to go see a show where it was obvious that the band was enjoying it as much or even more than the crowd! They are so joyful and passionate and talented in both bands, which are basically the same band of course because we saw them with Death Cab.

    Accoustics were terrible

by Anonymous on 5/18/24UBC - Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre - Vancouver

The band themselves were decent. Its just the acoustics. The base was way too loud and instruments overwhelmed vocals. You just couldnt hear them sing. It wasnt a good show sorry. It was just hard to hear them

Wouldn’t ever miss a chance to see this show.

by MC 503 on 5/18/24Moda Center - Portland

They brought all of the emotion that these albums have seen me through for the last 20 years. I saw the same show last October at the Key Arena. Did not disappoint at either of them.

    Terrible seating

by Gwog on 5/18/24Moda Center - Portland

My seats were WAY worse than anticipated, especially since there was no screen for us in the nosebleeds to see, they were facing the center, but we were essentially behind the band, might as well have been, we could barely see a thing.

    Flippin amazing

by Lula on 5/18/24Moda Center - Portland

Great energy, great performance. This was on my bucket list of musts sees, and they did not disappoint. Great crowd too. Benjamin's ability to sound better live, than recorded, absolutely blows my mind. He has officially landed in my top 5 favorite vocalist I've seen live. Woohoo!

    What’s up with people?

by Not so old guy on 5/18/24Moda Center - Portland

I went to the concert on a whim. Great bands and brings me right back to high school. They were awesome. Rilo Kiley too?! Haha. Now… I am about to turn 40 and I bought a seat in the lower bowl. Everyone there was roughly my age and everyone sat… I stood up for “We Looked Like Giants” and after the song was over I was asked to sit down because someone couldn’t see. Where did the fun go from everyone? Postal Service came on and it was definitely time to stand and dance. I got the sigh, but then looked around and SLOWLY people were standing. The 40 year old crowd that used to dance and sing is now sitting and patting their knees to the music…. Not this guy!

    Good show, mediocre venue

by Joe K. on 5/18/24Moda Center - Portland

Loved seeing DCFC again and TPS for the first time. Unfortunately the venue let us down again with little vegetarian food and a metal plate behind our seats that was not bolted down and resonated loudly with the bands’ bass. Headache inducing.

Wonderful bands betrayed by the venue

by West PDX on 5/18/24Moda Center - Portland

Moda center is a terrible place to see a show. Much of the seating is uncomfortably oblique and the sound quality is consistently miserable. The Postal Service could deal with this to some extent, as their show was somewhat active and definitely visually interesting. The Deathcab for Cutie performance was terrible though. Five guys standing as far apart from each other as possible with the electric guitar and drums completely dominating the mix.
