About

Mandy Moore on Tour

Though Mandy Moore's career has pulled her away from music for long stretches — an entire decade before her 2019 return — she's often said that singing and songwriting are her truest passions. Which is why fans should expect to see the kind of heartfelt emotion that the This Is Us star is known for showing on TV, but all the more amplified and real as she takes the stage to play her gorgeous 1970s-inspired folk-pop. Even in her work as a teen — singing bubblegum pop hits like "Candy," or playing Jamie Sullivan in A Walk to Remember — Moore exuded an unmistakable sweetness rivaled only by her gift for performance (Roger Ebert once wrote that she "inspires instant affection"). While still in high school, she held her own on huge tours with *NSYNC and Backstreet Boys. Now a grown woman, Moore owns every room she enters.

Mandy Moore in Concert

Growing up outside of Orlando in the mid '80s, Amanda Leigh Moore dreamt of singing and acting. Her parents — a reporter and an airline pilot — assumed it was a phase, but young Mandy begged for lessons until she got them. Before long, she was starring in local theater productions and belting out "The Star-Spangled Banner" at sports games. At 12, Moore left home for the prestigious Stagedoor Manor performing arts summer camp. Just three years later, she left for tours with the era's biggest boy bands, promoting her poppy first album, So Real (1999). Across six more full-lengths, Moore moved ever-closer to the sound of her heart: a folksy, mature, pop-meets-rock sound inspired by the likes of Joni Mitchell, Paul McCartney and Todd Rundgren. Her acting developed similarly as she transitioned from teen dramas and rom-coms to roles that felt tailor-made for her (think Tangled's silky-voiced Rapunzel in 2010). After releasing her intimate Amanda Leigh album in 2009, Moore mostly disappeared from music until 2019, when she dropped her most realized song yet, "When I Wasn't Watching," hinting at the album to follow. In the meantime, she'd become a household name (and face) all over again by playing Rebecca Pearson in NBC's hit heartstring-tugging family series This Is Us.

    Amazing artist!!

    by L. B. on 6/28/22

Such a simple production but it’s like nothing was missing cause the band were all very talented people and Mandy was simply amazing. Very sweet, she talked a lot about some of her past experiences in Hollywood , writing process of some songs, shared so many stories and she sang beautifully!!! Such a great artist!!!!! I heard the news today about her canceling the rest of the shows this year and I am glad that I got the chance to see her few days ago here in Boston. She didn’t disappoint at all, whenever she’s on tour again I will be there. ❤️

    Mandy was so great!

by Deb on 6/26/22Roxian Theatre - Pittsburgh

Her singing was so good and she was so very down to earth talking to the audience throughout the concert. She sang a bunch of everything. Some new and people's favorites like Only Hope from her movie A Walk to Remember which I love so much, Candy and Forever Now from This is Us. She truly is the best!!

    Great voice, bad sound system

    by R.E. on 6/26/22Roxian Theatre - Pittsburgh

Mandy sounded exactly like she does on her albums, even the ones that are 20+ years old when the sound system was working properly. The venue looked nice, bit the sound system at the Rixian in Pittsburgh could use some improvements. The softer balads sounded great, but the louder songs had a lot of feedback and there seemed to be an echo like the sound was bouncing off the walls. It doesn't seem like the venue was built for concerts. Rock concerts in there would probably sound terrible. Mandy was very friendly and talked to the audience and the band sounded good as well. It was nice that she played older songs like "Candy" and she really seemed to be having fun, whicj makes it funner for the audience. The only criticism i'd gave of her performance is that she didn't play "Walk with me home". It was a hit single back in the day and appeared in a popular movie. It was a little disappointing she didn't play it. I think it would have fit perfectly in the middle of her set when she played a string of newer songs. While I liked most of the new stuff, it would be nice to hear a song i know, a hit, in the first 40 minutes.

Not the kind of music I was expecting but well done.

by Motz on 6/22/22Music Box at the Borgata - Atlantic City

As an older couple that enjoyed "This Is Us" and were not familiar with Mandy's teen hits, we expected the kind of songs she sang on the TV show. Instead, it was more semi-hard rock. But most of the audience really enjoyed it. The opening act featured a terrific guitarist from Canada. He was my favorite part of the concert.

LOVED the show! She is as sweet as "Candy"!

by Nicole on 6/21/22Music Box at the Borgata - Atlantic City

Mandy Moore is so talented. I've had a "Crush" since 1999 LOL. I was supposed to see her March 2020 and was soooo happy when I finally got to see her June 2022. It was worth the wait. The show was so good, I purchased tickets to a second show. Her newest albums are awesome too! I hope to see her on tour again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Too Loud!

by ThisIsThem on 6/18/22The Charleston Music Hall - Charleston

Mandy Moore has a beautiful voice. Too bad you couldn't hear it with the pounding drums, keyboards, and two guitars drowning her out.
