It's made of the same material as the slabs/counters at high-end sushi restaurants, seems to absorb impact from chopping really well - no noticeable marks or "flaking," and does not stain if washed within the hour even with dark colours like beets (could be longer, but I typically clean up within that timeframe).
The only con, and this is minor because most great kitchen products typically require this, is that I believe it's hand-wash only. Given it's a considerable/dense board, keep that in mind when deciding which size to buy.
Tip: If you live in LA, check out their physical store in Redondo Beach. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff who provide other services like knife sharpening.
Very solid cutting board, super easy to clean and has made it so much easier than a traditional wooden board. I expect this to last me several years at the least and very good for delicate sharp knives.
