About this item
- Vibrant Color - Suncore Foods Organic Red Beet Powder boasts a vibrant red color made from beets. That's it! They are ground into a powder to uphold the preservation of their original state, freshness, and concentration of color
- Easy To Use - To add a dash of rainbow, simply mix into your favorite yogurts, smoothies, desserts, and baked goods, and you'll be eating fun and creative meals in no time! Then tuck the rest away in the resealable pouch and store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight
- Tips And Tricks - A little goes a long way! Start with small doses and keep going until the desired shade is achieved, but bear in mind acidic ingredients may affect the original color. Fret not! With its powder form it does not affect the consistency or flavor of the final product much
- Fun Tidbit - The brilliant red color of beets is often used to color other food items such as strawberry ice cream. Talk about earning extra credit. We can thank betalains for this vibrant red and the amino acid tyrosine in beets that create these pigments
- Feel Good Ingredient - Non-GMO and certified gluten-free, and organic. Suncore Foods Organic Red Beet Powder is made of a single ingredient plucked from nature and is sourced, processed, and packaged with the highest standards to ensure the highest quality

Customers are mixed about the color of the food coloring. Some mention that they are very pleased with the color achieved, while others say that it fails to turn any of the layers red. The red color cooks right out, and the color is pink, rather than a bright red.

"I bought this coloring for my red Velvet Cakes, but it did not work, I added 2 tablespoons to my batter, and it just dyed kind of brown, I had to..." Read more

Now, as for the taste, when we made this yesterday we tasted the red frosting as it smelled strongly of the beet powder. It tasted like dirt and we were pretty disappointed. HOWEVER, by some magic the frosting changed flavors overnight and when eating the cupcakes today the red frosting tasted good! Like cherries to me, strawberry to my niece, and coconut to my dad. Is this what was in Mary Poppins medicine? Maybe.
