Which weight should I choose for a slam ball?
The appropriate weight depends on your fitness level. Beginners often start with lighter weights (e.g., 10-20 lbs), while more advanced users may use heavier slam balls (e.g., 30-50 lbs).
How can I use a slam ball in my workout?
Slam balls are versatile and can be used for various exercises, including ball slams, overhead throws, Russian twists, and squats. The primary idea is to incorporate dynamic, explosive movements.
Are slam balls the same as medicine balls?
While both are weighted balls used for exercise, slam balls are designed to be slammed against surfaces, making them more durable for high-impact exercises compared to traditional medicine balls.
How can I clean and maintain my slam ball?
Wipe the surface of the slam ball with a damp cloth to remove dirt or sweat. Avoid using abrasive cleaning agents. Check for any signs of wear or damage regularly, and replace a slam ball if it becomes compromised.
Can the slam balls be used for the fitness classes?
Yes, slam balls are commonly used in group fitness classes due to their versatility. They can be easily incorporated into circuit training, HIIT workouts, and other group exercises.

It adds to your workout the color is vibrant and it is easy to grip. I use the medicine ball for arms and abdominal workouts. It's nice to add some weight when working out, If your new and just starting out start with a lighter weight and work your way up to a higher weight. I have the 3lb, 5lb, 10lb, and then I bought this 15lb medicine balls. I love raising the medicine ball high then slamming it. it helps when I want to let out some frustration while working out.
I will agree with some of the negative comments that said the ball is unbalanced. That is why 4 stars, instead of 5. I think they have a few different size rubber balls, and adjust the weighting material. My 20 lb ball is better balanced. Still works for what I need it to do.
When I pick this up and move it around in a natural way it seems to strengthen my arms and shoulders and even transmit down to my chest and abdomen, and reduce the discomfort in my shoulders.
I am pleasantly surprised and have incorporated grabbing this ball and moving it around a few times a week into a loose exercise regime and it seems to help with stengthening, stretching and loosening my upper body.
That's just my experience, but if you have similar issues it cannot hurt to try it out and return it if you don't like it.
I'm a petite 5'3", 123-pound woman, and initially, 30 pounds seemed a little steep, BUT I'm here to tell you that my back has never looked sexier, and I've been getting compliments left and right.
Also this slam ball is surprisingly easy to handle, and it's built like a tank. Even though it's meant for slamming, it's actually pretty quiet (thank you, sand filling), and the impact is satisfyingly balanced.
PSA: on those days when you're feeling like a ball of frustration, anger, or anxiety, and you just need to let loose, this slam ball is your go-to therapist. Doing about 10 to 15 slams can be incredibly therapeutic, and I always feel so much better afterward.
So, whether it was fate or just a happy accident, I wholeheartedly recommend this 30-pound slam ball. It's brought an unexpected playful twist to my workouts and serves as a fantastic stress-reliever too.
