Why We Like The Columbia Carson Pass IC Jacket

We find ourselves turning to the Columbia Carson Pass IC Jacket on a daily basis thanks to its versatile 3-in-1 design. On brisk shoulder-season days, we unzip the two pieces and use the synthetic insulated jacket to keep us warm on hikes or walks through town. When the weather is a little more wet or cold we can rely on the nylon shell either on its own or with the insulated jacket underneath.

Amazing coat perfect for outdoors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Versatile and comfortable coat. Hood faux fur detaches. Full frontal zipper is flanked by buttons. There are two zipper pockets and additional two pockets with flaps, all are on lower front of coat. I like walking and use my coat for outdoor activities.

Nice cozy jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice cozy jacket that protects from rain and keeps you warm. The inner jacket is as long as outer jacket, would have preferred inner jacket to be shorter in length.

So Nice, I Brought It Twice!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked this coat so much I bought it twice! In 2020 I purchased a size XS but by 2023 I needed a larger size, so I replaced my old coat with a size M. For reference, I'm 5.3, 150lbs (DD cup) and I can wear my thickest sweater under both coat layers. I love that you can wear these coats as separates. The outer shell is my go to rain coat for fall/spring hikes.

Terrific interchange jacket!

Beautiful jacket, quality material and well made. Love the jacket in a jacket!! I’m a huge fan of the Omni Heat lining; it keeps me so warm on cold Maryland days (I have it on long underwear, jackets and vests!) only problem was I ordered too big and had to return! Will not hesitate to buy again!

Style and comfort in one

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looked for a coat that would keep me warm and would look nice to go out in. This was the one. Very convenient to have a removable inner layer which I loaned to someone who forgot their coat. Kept my dry during the snow and rain. Only thing since I run wide at the hips, if the coat would be a little wider at the hips or would stretch a bit.

One of my favorite coats now

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the coat. Easy to do a lot wearing it. Not too bright or full in the sunlight.

Very Warm

When I was looking for this jacket, I had trouble finding information on how warm it is. I have found it comfortable under the following conditions (all temperatures fahrenheit): high 30’s to 40’s: t-shirt underneath mid-20’s to mid-30’s: t-shirt and sweatshirt underneath mid-teens to mid-20’s: base layer and sweatshirt underneath I have worn it with a hoodie, sweatshirt, and base layer on a 1.5 mile walk on a 9 degree night and been perfectly comfortable. It is a very warm jacket.

Great for Travel

I have 2 of these jackets, 1 for skiing, 1 for everyday. While it could be warmer in neg temps, there's plenty of room for an extra layer while the cinch waist gives it shape. I like it best for travel and have worn the layers iindividually in various temps. In summer, I take off the fur and use the shell as a rain jacket. All and all, it's worth it.

Lovely color and functionality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the color of this jacket. I'm 5 feet tall, size 4-6, and bought a size small. It has enough room for a heavy sweater underneath. Interior pockets would be nice, but there are several outer pockets that hold enough to not need to carry a purse. Warm enough for Portland, OR winters.
