From the manufacturer
THE OUTSIDE IS CALLING
There’s an adventure outside—and it’s waiting for you. The best part? You don’t need to go too far to find it. From your first camping trip to weekends at the lake, Coleman has always been there. So, grab your friends, your family, your gear and get ready for wherever adventure takes you.
WHERE WE STARTED
It all began when we created the first portable, gas-powered lantern that illuminated the first evening football game west of the Mississippi. In WWII, our camping stoves transformed the way soldiers ate in the field. We continued to revolutionize the outdoors with our cooler manufacturing in the 1950s, and in the decades that followed we added tents, sleeping bags, lighting, and more.
WHERE WE ARE TODAY
After 120 years, Coleman gear is everywhere you are: on the trail, by the lake, at the campsite, or in your own backyard. We're always around a place where there are friends, coolers, and campfires. So, grab a tent, fire up a grill, and pull up a chair. The Outside Is Calling. Answer it.

They all are plenty big and retained about the same amount of heat, raising the temp inside the bag with me inside about 5° after 15 minutes, (based on our smart thermostat sensor).
The Redcamp was the beefiest by weight (1lb 9.4oz), by the zipper was so incredibly slick it moves on its own! No way it is staying zipped up all night.
The Osage River was fine, basically the same as the Coleman but slightly lighter weight (1lb 1.8oz) and about $10 more.
The Litume was the smallest and lightest weight (15.1oz), although it felt heaviest when draped on my legs. It's made from micro fleece with a smooth outer cover. It's really nice, and came in a high quality compression sack. But I don't think it adds any more heat than the others, and since I don't plan on doing any backpacking the weight and compression aren't of value to me. I ordered the zipper less version, so can't speak to durability of the zipper.
The Coleman is about the same as the Osage River and Redcamp models, but was the cheapest AND was 1/3 the price of the Litume. The zipper is super beefy. It weighed in much heavier than the Osage River but only slightly behind Redcamp at 1lb 9oz.
If the Litume was the same price or ithought I would use it for backpacking, I would probably go for it, but the Coleman is the clear winner for our current setup.

Comes with a fairly tight stuff sack. Getting the bag back into the stuff sack after the first use took a little bit of experimentation. Zip the bag closed and lay it flat. Fold the bag width in thirds so that the folded width matches the length of the stuff sack. Fold the bag length in half. Roll from the middle to the end and secure with the elastic strap. Shove the rolled bag back into the stuff sack.
This sleeping bag is perfect for summer camping. Gives you just enough warmth to cover up. You can use them in the late spring and early fall as well when the regular types of sleeping bags are just too hot!
We did use these on a camping trip where the temps dipped into the 50s at night and we were cold. That said, we had not looked close enough at the forecast, and wore shorts to bed. It had been over 100 degrees during the day about 2 hours away where we lived and we figured it must be just as warm. Had we slept with sweat pants and a sweatshirt we might have been okay.
My kids are involved in Scouts, and this sleeping bag is perfect for them. It is light weight and does not take up much space in their bag. They usually pack it right in with their clothes and other gear. I wish the stuff sack were slightly larger though because even when you roll it perfectly it is difficult to fit inside. The kids usually do their best to roll it up and I have to fix it once they are home.
Overall it is a great sleeping bag for late spring through mid-fall. You can use it as a liner if you do go winter camping. The only reason for giving it a 4 star rating instead of a 5 is because of the precision needed to roll the sleeping bag perfectly and then get it into the provide bag.
