PAIR OF TWO-LAYER, ZIPPERED DOORS

With a pair of large two-layer doors, it’s easy for campers and their gear to enter and exit the tent. There’s no need to climb over a fellow camper who’s asleep. The doors are situated across from each other on either side of the tent. Each door features a zippered screen that allows increased ventilation while keeping out bugs and other critters. The rainfly reaches the ground on both sides of the tent, covering both doors. In the front, there’s a split door fly that can be rolled up. At the back door, the fly zips up the middle. There’s a small vestibule area between the tent and the rainfly that you can use for taking off shoes and storing wet gear.

Great budget tent IF you preform spot checks!
4 Stars
Great budget tent IF you preform spot checks!
Will detail how/where tent was tested after listing pros & cons.Pros:+ Quick and easy set-up.+ Lightweight for size (5.25lb trail weight with fly, 3.48lb without.)+ Comfortable for two small sized adults. (Ideal for 1 adult, with room for belongings inside.)+ Fairly durable material.+ Weather sealing on seams.+ "Bathtub" floor kept inside dry.+ Good for 3 seasons; ample ventilation for summer; kept out condensation, and wind in brisk weather.+ Doors on opposite sides make for easy access.+ Vestibule has ample room for boots/packs.+ Vestibule can be propped up with trekking poles (if you know how) and makes for a good porch area.+ Plenty of options to secure rainfly doors out of the way for ventilation.+ Tent carrying case is a drawstring close, with a carrying handle AND two adjustable buckles. Material is durable. Useful for transport of tent, but also great for general use. (I used it as a travel bag for a quilt and chair.)Cons:- Uncomfortable for taller adults. (If 6ft+ you will need to lay at an angle.)- Doesn’t fit 3 adults. (Could fit 3 children, possibly small adults if they don’t mind snuggling up.)- Loose threads need to be taken care of by customer.- Stitching where the tent attaches to poles has small holes from tension. (Suggested to use a bug treatment spray at these areas to prevent small bugs coming in. Can reinforce with seam sealant to prevent further stress.)Overall: A good budget buy. If you're willing to do a spot check, and take some preemptive measures, then this is a reliable tent.First impressions:Upon receiving the tent I weighed each part and checked everything prior to set up.Originally I intended to use a footprint, but upon inspection of the tent I felt it was not needed. The material of the floor was fairly durable and adequately waterproofed. The seam along the tent floor was properly seam sealed and had no visible weak spots. When I examined the stitching along general areas (netting, zippers, doors, joining seams) I noticed some loose threads. Despite going through and taking care of those I found, I spotted a few more after set-up. The stitching itself seemed sturdy overall. A few high-stress areas, such as where the poles attach, needed some reinforcement for me to feel reassured. Would not be an issue for casual use, but if you will have it out for an extended excursion I advise doing a check prior to leaving! It's quick and easy to reinforce trouble areas, and doing so will lengthen the life of your tent. The rainfly was seam sealed well and made of durable weatherproof material that felt reliable. Typically I waterproof spray my tents but I decided to test this one as-is.This dome tent was quick and easy to set-up. As someone who has used many tents there was no need for instructions. Still, this is definitely a beginner friendly tent! The poles are kept in place by grommets on the tent corners, with the rainfly buckling into place, which leads to a freestanding tent. This makes it extremely easy to move around while you pick the perfect spot.Pack weight was roughly as follows:(Tent 0.93kg) (Fly 0.80kg) (Poles 0.44kg) (Stakes/lines 0.21kg)My intended use for this tent was backpacking. I tested it at home prior to bringing it out on a trip for more active testing.Main test opinion is that of a 5'5“ adult woman with a small build. Extra input given by 6'0" adult man with an average/medium build.First test:D1: 82°F sunnyN1: 69°F moderately rainy, mild windAfter setting up the tent in my yard I climbed inside. I found it to be perfectly roomy for one person and their gear. It could sleep two smaller adults comfortably, but would be a tight squeeze for 3 people. (If used for backpacking 3 can fit, but for casual campers you will want more room.) My taller husband would have to lay at an angle to sleep. We could both fit, but would require cuddling up and the right sized sleeping pads. The design felt sturdy and didn't shift around when climbing in/out of doors. With the main body being mainly mesh, it was very comfortable in hot and sunny weather. There are some mesh pockets inside for storage of lightweight items. A small hook is on the top of the tent to hang a lantern if wanted. After putting on the rainfly I opened the doors, propped open the vents and was able to enjoy the breeze without the tent flapping around. Rainfly secures well, sits away from the tent body, and comes down low enough to keep rain out but still provides airflow. I can see the potential for splash-back making it into the tent if the rainfly is secured with guylines and rain is moderate/heavy. This is not uncommon for 3 season tents, so is not an issue, but something to keep in mind if expecting rainy weather. The tent was left set up, with the rainfly secured and doors closed, overnight during a moderate rain. When checked in the morning the interior was dry. There were no leaks and all moisture/condensation was kept to the rainfly. It dried off quickly as the sun rose and was ready to be packed up.The tent was easy to pack up and fit easily into the provided sack. If you're good at rolling tents then the sack is actually bigger than necessary- a good sign. As a backpacker I was happy with how small the tent packed down!Second test:D1: 77°F cloudy, muggy, damp from previous days rain.N1: 51°F brisk, foggy with heavy mist.D2: 78°F extremely sunny.N2: 56°F moderate rain, mild wind.D3: 68°F cloudy, mild to moderate wind. This time I brought the tent along with me on a backpacking trip. After taking everything out of the provided sacks I found the weight to be reasonable for the quality/price. It’s not an “ultralight” tent by any means. However, for its size and material it is certainly lightweight. As it can sleep 2 adults the weight can be easily divided between two packs. I am a solo backpacker, but I found the comfort of extra room was well worth the weight. With how small the tent and rainfly pack down it was easy to fit into my pack without issue. I brought along the rainfly as I knew there would be rain, so the total weight was 5.35lbs. Not bad at all for the pricetag and size! After toting the tent some distance it was time to set up. The area had dense grass that was still damp from rain. I set up and was happy with how well the bottom kept out all of the moisture. The tub style was again appreciated, as it went up beyond the grassline and kept the inside dry and the bugs a little bit more at bay. It’s tick season here, so I was especially pleased with how fine the mesh netting was.Because it is spider and tick season I needed a tent that was well sealed and had enough room for me to keep my things inside at night. This provided both. I had room to set up my sleeping pad, lay out my things and sit up comfortably when inside. The vestibule had room if I wanted to keep things outside. It was nice to be able to put my shoes on outside of the tent while the vestibule was closed, so I could keep the interior clean. It rained while I was out and I had no leaks or moisture inside the tent. Condensation collected well on the outside of the rainfly and did not soak through the material. It dried quickly and was easy to pack up. I stayed dry when it was foggy, damp and when it rained. The rainfly never touched the tent even when the wind picked up a bit, which kept condensation away. When it was hot and sunny out I got rid of the rainfly and enjoyed the airflow of the mostly mesh tent. It was easy for me to see through the mesh, but still felt like it provided some privacy if viewed from a distance. It was also nice to be able to prop up the vestibule with my trekking poles to provide some shade while still getting added ventilation. The second night the tent was set up on earthy forest ground, with some roots etc. I got rid of anything potentially pokey that I could prior to set up. It was nice to have a free-standing tent in this instance, because when I felt a rough spot beneath the tent I was able to lift it up and clear the debris. The flooring was durable and I didn’t see any potential of damage despite the ground being a little rough.Tent held up well and provided both ample ventilation and good protection from the elements. It handled moderate rain and wind well. I wouldn’t recommend it for strong weather conditions. If there is a prolonged downpour, or heavy winds, there would be damage. That is to be expected with dome tents of this design, so it is not a design flaw. It is merely something to be aware of when choosing a tent!Finale thoughts:I was pleased with the performance of this tent. It was simple to set up, take down and pack up. The price is worth the quality of this tent.If you don't do spot checks it will not last very long! If you spend a few minutes and a couple bucks to reinforce it, then it'll hold up well. For a budget buy it's ideal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good design, basic features, light weight and reasonable price
Reviewed in the United States on October 28, 2016
Out of the box I am very happy with this tent. It is fairly lightweight, which is a good thing since I plan to take it backpacking with my wife (you can see it fully packed in the picture of my hiking pack, orange bag). Set up was quick and easy even with one person, and by going with a 3 person tent rather than a 2 both my wife and I will fit just fine with a decent amount of room left for our hiking packs and gear. This tent packs up very small and neat, and I am able to hang it off the back of my hiking pack just fine. The height is decent enough that you can crouch and move around inside, but I should note that I am 5ft 6 and laying down there is only a little extra length left from end to end. That being said, if you are taller than that you will probably have to lay at an angle or in a semi-fetal position to fit. Some nice features are the fact that it has entrances on 2 sides (only one side has the option for a covered awning area), and the fact that while it has no windows they did include two nifty pop-out air vents on either side for ventilation when needed. The inside of the outer cover for the tent is also covered in a silver semi-reflective material, which I assume is meant to help hold in heat. There is also a little hook for hanging things at the peak of the roof inside, and I purchase a little AAA battery powered led hanging light to go there, which I think will work out great. Just know that they worked to keep the weight low, so there are no additional features such as interior hanging pockets, etc. The design is very minimalistic.

All of that being said, this tent looks to pretty good quality, especially for the price. Still, the material seems rather thin, which is to be expected given that light weight was the goal in the design, but I would definitely recommend that you purchase some kind of a base layer tarp to protect the bottom of the tent, as well as have some kind of tape, etc. to do emergency patching in the field just in case.

I can't really speak to the durability and wind and water resistance of this tent yet, but I will update my review and post more pictures when we actually get a chance to take it out on the trail. Thanks guys

We did a lot of research in trying to find an affordable hiking tent. And we have been very happy with this one so far.

We took it on an overnight canoe trip and it is really compact and light weight.

We LOVE the vestibule area in front and how we have room for our boots on either rise of the door. The 2 doors is great, we dont have to climb over each other to get in or out.

Because of the rain sheet design there wasnt any moisture of the tent when we work up, and the pop up vents are a nice touch. There are 2 little pockets on the inside to put stuff, but the material is fairly light so I wouldnt put anything heavy in them.

The other issue I forsee is that the bottom material is very thin, I would reccomend using a tarp or footprint.

Fits 2 people pretty comfortably.

I would reccomend this tent :)
