I was bitten by something on my arm and it was very itchy. I immediately put on this cream and it worked immediately. Doesn't really have much of a smell which is good. After applying only one or two times the swelling of the bite went down and the itching stopped completely. I would highly recommend this product to anybody with any kind of a bite.

Great product.

As the heater kicks on and the home air gets dryer, my skin becomes a bit dryer and begins to itch. I tried using regular lotions, but they did not seem to work very well. I got this Aveeno Anti-Itch cream and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly it relieved the itching along my arms and shins. I will always have this in my medicine chest now.

Relief From Winter Dryness

This is my first time to use the 1-ounce tube of Aveeno Anti-Itch Cream. This worked well. I applied the cream to a bug bite on my leg and it relieved the itch. I have used other brands. The cream relieves itching due to minor skin irritations, inflammation, and rashes. The cream is white in color and has no odor. It is dermatologist recommended. This cream contains 1% hydrocortisone, aloe, vitamin E, and Active Naturals Triple Oat Complex.

Anti-Itch Cream

I live in Texas, and for some strange reason, I still see the occasional mosquito even though it's December! This Aveeno cream comes right out of the tube as a lightweight, silky cream. It absorbs quickly, and skin is left feeling smooth and soft. I appreciate that the cream doesn't have a thick, sticky consistency. The smell of the cream leaves isn't obnoxious, but it definitely smells slightly medicinal; the smell does dissipate very quickly after application and absorption. I do like how this cream can serve a multitude of purposes including relief of irritation from jewelry and cosmetics!

Gets the job done!

The Aveeno 1% Hydrocortisone Anti-Itch Cream is 
specifically formulated for long lasting relief. I was 
excited to have my daughter try this on my 10 year
old grandson's hands. They were terribly chapped, 
rough and dry, to the point that they were bleeding. 
At bedtime she applied the Aveeno Hydrocortisone 
Cream to the backs of his hands, and covered them 
socks. After just 2 nights of this treatment his hands 
had cleared up. The rough dry skin had softened and 
there was no more bleeding! We had tried other 
products and they typically helped a little, but nothing 
compared to the Aveeno!

This Aveeno Cream contains Natural Ingredients - 
Oatmeal and Aloe! It is a non-greasy formula and 
does not smell. The Cream is quickly absorbed into 
the skin. 

This Hydrocortisone Cream works equally well for 
insect bites and stings, allergic reactions, hives and 
rashes. 

I am a big fan of Aveeno products and this 
Hydrocortisone Cream is on my list of faves. I totally 
recommend this product!

Aveeno 1% Hydrocortisone Cream

In the winter, the skin on the backs of my hands tend to dry out, crack, and become itchy after I wash them. Our local water supply is of very poor quality and creates skin problems for many of the people who live here. Aveeno Hydrocortisone Anti-Itch cream claims to be a helpful solution for those of us who suffer from irritated skin. Because Aveeno contains the maximum strength allowed of cortisone cream over the counter, which is an effective medication for rashes and other mild skin irritations, I assumed it would be useful. It even contains "Triple Oat Complex," aloe and vitamin E, ostensibly to keep one's skin from overdrying. On reading the label, I see that there are a lot of other ingredients, which most people could not pronounce, and for which I needed a magnifying glass to read. The first two ingredients are water and cetearyl alcohol. I've heard of some interesting ingredients in my time, but Aveeno Anti-Itch Cream contains one I have never seen before: Dimethicone/Vinyltrimethylsiloxysilicate Crosspolymer. 

If you don't mind putting unpronounceable chemicals on yourself, by all means, try this cream next time you itch. The only active ingredient it contains against itching is 1% hydrocortisone. I put it on my hands. Its texture feels odd, perhaps due to the oat complex, and it tended to dry out my hands, but they are none the worse for wear. In any case, they don't itch right now, so the Aveeno may be a moderate success despite its weird ingredient list.

Cortisone oat cream with some wild chemicals

I received the Aveeno 1% Hydrocortisone Anti-Itch Relief Cream, 1 Oz for free with the Walmart Spark Reviewer Program. 
Aveeno 1% Hydrocortisone Anti-Itch Cream is labeled as a maximum-strength formula for effective, longer-lasting itch relief, and let me tell you, that is exactly what it is. This hydrocortisone cream provides fast and temporary relief from the itching from minor skin irritations, i had an itch between my middle and index finger of my right hand for 3 weeks. I tried many different kinds of creams to get rid of the annoying itch between my fingers. It would seem to get better and then come back again and again. I had no idea what it was or where it came from. I didn't have the symptoms anywhere else on my body. I tried the Aveeno 1% Hydrocortisone Anti-Itch Cream and it cured my itchy spot in only 2 applications and it didn't come back. This cream per the label contains 1% hydrocortisone, aloe, vitamin E, and active natural triple oat complex and to me has a non greasy feel and a subtle oatmeal scent.

Worked for me

I am very happy with this cream, I have an itchy patch (dermatitis) that flares up now and again at the base of my scalp right above my hair line that is hard to get to, I have used a hydrocortisone product before but because it was an ointment it was hard to get it past my hair onto my scalp, but this is a white cream that soaks in quickly and it gave me some good relief. I would definitely recommend this itch relief cream to anyone, Aveeno is a trusted brand that uses natural ingredients that are gentle on your skin and provide good results.

Works well, good itch relief

Aveeno 1% Hydrocortisone Anti-Itch Relief Cream is a welcome treatment for itchiness. As someone with sensitive skin who is also a mosquito (yuck!) magnet, I appreciate real relief. I used this cream for an itchy rash on my leg. Within minutes, the itch was gone. The relief lasted about an hour but continued to help as I put more on. Considering what is available in the marketplace, I think this product is good. Had it lasted longer or helped faster, I would have given it a five-star rating.

Temporary Relief from Annoying Itching

Aveeno 1% Hydrocortisone cream is sold as Maximum Strength Formula formulated for longer lasting relief of itch and irritated skin. This product did not work as advertised for me. Living in Minnesota the weather conditions in the winter are severe. Dry itchy skin is a problem for many.
I tried the Aveeno anti-itch cream the day I got it. It did not relieve the itch or dryness for more than ten minutes. Some of the ingredients are 
: Triple oat complex, Aloe and Vitamin E. These should surely releive the itching, however it did not. The uses also say it is good for insects bites and poison ivy however we have none of these this time of year. I have tried other products with a much greater success. I would not recommend this product for dry itchy skin.
