The box is incredibly heavy, but once you have it out of the box and set up it's very easy to use. You just twist the dumbbell in its place to the amount of weight you want to lift and it changes automatically. The range is from 5 to 25 pounds. This is a great idea and takes up a lot less space than individual dumbbells. The only caveat is there is only one of these, so if you want to do both arms at once you will need to buy 2 sets.

Space saving over individual dumbbells

The perfect dumbbell. Space saving. It's very easy to adjust and switch out the weights by rotating the handle. It's that simple! I love that my husband and I both can use this and not have several different pieces of equipment sitting around. Seems rather durable too which is a big plus. The contoured handle feels great in my hand, even with my arthritis. Definitely recommend to add this to your at home fitness equipment!

Nice quality product, good workout, easy to use

The CAP adjustable dumbbell is very easy to use. It was very easy to set up. Very minimal pieces to worry about. Comes with a plastic stand for easy use and storage. Instructions are simple and easy to follow. The manual also has an exercise guide in it for people who may want ideas or are new to using the dumbbells. The exercise guide is very easy to read and follow. The handle is easy and fast to twist and change weight settings. Dumbbell comes off and on the weights smoothly. The CAP adjustable dumbbells are a great addition to a home gym or for beginners.

Easy to Use

This is so amazing for someone without a big home gym or lots of space. It’s great for saving money as well! This set of weights consists of a single bar plus end weights from 5 lbs to 25 lbs. When the handle is in the holder, you just twist the handle to the 5lb mark or 10lb mark, etc. then when you lift it up, only the number (poundage) of weights you chose will attach to the handle. 

This is especially great for women or older people who don’t want to buy a bunch of separate weights. You can start out slowly and move up. I am 60, and will never need more than 25 lbs, although I’ve seen this same type of set in higher poundage. 

These are amazing. If you want to do chest flys and other lifts where you lift using both arms at the same time, you can buy two of these.

Easy, well made and compact!

The CAP Barbell set is so cool! I’ve been wanting one of these for a while and I’m so glad I got one finally. Set up was a cinch after reading the instruction manual and following the directions. The barbell is real nice quality. All metal construction with heavy duty weights. The base is plastic and when the barbell is in the base, you select the weight you’d like to lift. Just rotate the handle to choose the weight and lift the barbell out from the base. It’s very easy to use. I’m very pleased with this item and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a versatile dumbbell.

Heavy duty and easy to use.

I'm really happy with these adjustable dumbbells! I went from having a well stocked home gym with 3-30 lb dumbbells, a barbell with plates, resistance bands and kettle bells to basically nothing after moving across the country for a contract. I wanted to replicate my home gym without having to take up a ton of space in my apartment and also didn't want to invest hundreds of dollars since this will be temporary. 
Pros: you have a wide variety of weights with the option to adjust in 5 lb increments, these come assembled so you can use them straight away, they take up significantly less space than if you were to get individual dumbbells of each weight, it's easy to switch from one weight to the next.
Cons: they are obviously more bulky than traditional dumbbells (though I haven't yet noticed this to negatively affect ROM with any exercises,) if you are doing supersets and need to use different weights for each exercise you'll need to account for the added time it takes to change weights, every now and then the plates don't align perfectly so you have to kind of wiggle the dumbbell to put is back.

Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. I'd recommend these to anyone wanting to build their at-home gym set up without breaking the bank. Before I bought these I had looked at similar options that were twice this price...and sometimes twice the price for ONE single dumbbell. These are definitely an excellent value.

I really enjoy these new weights added to my workouts! Such a great idea to give a twist of the handle and change weights as needed. It is a real pleasure and lots faster than having to buy extra separate weights. Instead of all those separate weights laying around, I now can easily turn the bar handle and get weight from 5 to 25 pounds. It takes up less space and is faster than adding extra weights to a bar handle and using the old-style wrench to tighten. No more loose plates or weights sliding off the handle. It's quick and lots safer for all especially if you have children in the area. At my age, it's so much easier to work out and know weights I'm using will not get lost in the convenient stand that's included. Only pick up what you want and very clean, great grip with non-slip surface, and organized. Really enjoy these new weights to my collection and would highly recommend to any age group. Thinking about buying an extra ser to balance out my workouts. Very happy using these and can feel the difference in my arms and upper chest. Great product and recommend!

Cap Barbell 25 lb. Adjustable Dumbbell Quick Sele

Fast adjustable dumbbell set that can go frkm 5 to 25 pounds with so much ease. The dumbbell set is made with quality material and all in back except for the handle bar. Tbe handle bar is some grip to it so it doesnt slip when using it even without gloves. The dumbbell set also comes with a storage/stand to keep all the other plates stored in place when using lower weights and not the max. Its a nice daddy to keep it stored.

The weights are ready to use out of the box, no set up or assembly is required. The foot print is 6.75" by 13.75". The weights are adjustable with a twist of the hand from 5 lbs. to 25 lbs. in increments of 5 lbs. One can start with a lower weight and increase it as strength improves. The owners manual is easy to understand and has a very good exercise guide. Great for workouts the only thing that could make it better is a set of two weights.

SMART DUMBELL

Reviewing after 3 months of use. 

It was all good in the beginning until the iron plates started falling off. They just fall off randomly while working out. Luckily I didn't hurt my toes. Very POOR design and quality assurance.
