Good gentle exfoliator
Overall, I liked this product, but I wasn't as impressed as I thought I'd be based on the hype.First, the reason I bought this product was because I was looking for a gentle exfoliator to help with winter flakiness and hopefully minimize breakouts and pore size. I also liked the idea of a combination of physical and chemical exfoliation. Lastly, I'm a pretty lazy person and scrubs are messy, so I liked that I could use this quickly with little mess.LIKES:-Pads are really soaked in essence-Very gentle, gets rid of flaky skin without leaving my skin irritated or dry-Leaves my skin a bit smoother-Quick and mess-free means I actually use them 1 or 2 times a week-Didn't break me out-Grape candy scent is really nice and makes them fun to useDISLIKES:-I think this is mainly a gentle physical exfoliant, I read somewhere that the pH is not low enough for the AHAs to work as chemical exfoliants.-I didn't see any difference in my skin brightness or pore size, probably because it's just a mild exfoliant so I can't expect magical results.-I already have a good double-cleansing routine, so I didn't see any more dirt or debris stuck in the pads like other people. But I don't often wear makeup anyway.-The instructions say to wash the essence off, so I don't know if all the good ingredients they claim are in the product are really being absorbed. I tried leaving the essence on for the day, but it ends up being too sticky.-Although it didn't break me out, I don't think it helped my hormonal acne on my chin and jawline as I continued to get breakouts at my normal rate.In the end, I liked this product and appreciate that it exfoliates well without being abrasive, but I don't think I'll repurchase when I run out because they're a little pricey in my opinion and I have other products I'd like to try.P.S. Make sure to wear sunscreen! Exfoliating removes the top-most layer of the skin and this product contains lactic acid, which is known to increase sensitivity to the sun!

    I've been thoroughly researching Korean skincare for the last week, and this was one of the products that was recommended to try as part of the 10 step routine. I checked reviews on various sites and this seems to be a favorite of women in Korea.

    Firstly, the container is larger than I expected, so does take up a bit of space, but it's no issue to me. It has a strong lid that locks in all of the liquid, so these pads will never dry out, which is great.

    Just want to mention that there are 2 other Bio-peels from this same line, which have different scents and offer different benefits. I read that the lemon is a particular favorite for using prior to applying makeup as it helps the makeup to go on smoothly and makes the skin glow underneath....

    *The Lemon Bio-Peel: offers additional benefits of brightening and complexion correcting lemon ingredients for customers who suffer from pigmentation and complexion issues.
    *The Green Tea Bio-Peel offers pore refining and calming benefits of green tea for customers who would like to receive skin refreshing benefits while exfoliating.
    *The Wine Bio-Peel: contains resveratrol which offers anti-oxidant benefits for customers who would like to receive firming and anti-aging benefits additionally while exfoliating.

    The smell on this one is more fruity than it is wine-like, but in my opinion a really pleasant smell and not over powering at all.

    The pad has two sides - one is a gentle exfoliator and the other is a smooth pad that you use as step 2 to wipe away the skin after exfoliation. I was so excited to use it that I ended up using the wrong side initially, lol. The exfoliator side is very gentle and not at all like the regular abrasive exfoliators you get in the stores. Because it's so gentle you might be tempted to over scrub your face with it because it may not feel like the exfoliator is actually doing anything, but it is!! I've read reviews where some reported they over scrubbed and ending up with sore skin as a result, so just be cautious of that when using!

    This obviously works best when your skin is already properly cleansed beforehand!! Also - make sure you wash it off with warm water, it's not designed to be left on the skin. When using it I went over my face for a good few minutes before washing off with warm water. I wanted to really work the chemicals into my skin and target buildup of dry skin round my nose. They do recommend spending a bit more time on trouble areas that you have. The pads contain chemicals that are known for fighting acne and especially blackheads, which is one of the reasons I bought this. And it leaves your skin feeling so soft afterwards! Some on here have complained about it being sticky. I'm really not sure what you expect, because it is a chemical exfoliator, so it's to be expected, and I actually like the way it makes my skin feel. But it's not at all sticky once you rinse it off.

    I've only used the pads once so far (they arrived yesterday) and it's recommended you only use them twice per week, so I think they will last a while. I have dry skin, so my usual routine is to use a washcloth in the shower everyday to get rid of dry flaky skin (which is somewhat effective), but it's the morning after using this product and I can report that I have no dry skin at all on my face! I did, however, use the Missha Essence mist on my face immediately after the exfoliating pad, but my face was already soft to begin with and no dry skin at all after using it. Not only is my face soft today (the morning after) but I'm noticing less blackheads also.

    Would highly recommend buying this. At the time of my purchase I didn't realize there were two other bio-peels with different scents and benefits. All of them are said to exfoliate the same. This red wine one seems to be more focused on anti aging (but does contain chemicals/acid that treats acne, especially blackheads), whereas the other two are for brightening/pigmentation and skin refreshing. I will have a guess that maybe the lemon and green tea would be especially beneficial for acne because they are ingredients regularly use to fight pimples. I'm considering trying the green tea one!

    I would like to divide this review in two sections—the product itself, and the product as delivered to me. First of all, the product: these neogen exfoliating pads are amazing. These pads come in three different “flavors”— wine, lemon, and green tea. Having used all three, I personally find that the red wine ones are the best. The lemon is too drying. The green tea is nice but it does not result in the clear glowing skin that the red wine ones have afforded me. Each pad has two sides to it. There is the abrasive exfoliating side and a quilted soothing side. Contrary to other opinions, I do not recommend cutting these pads. Each pad is a sleeve. You slip it over two of your fingers and rub it over your face. The exfoliation should be followed by swiping your face with the quilted side. I have noticed a brightening and improved clarity of my skin after using these pads. I personally recommend using these no more than twice a week. So a jar of 30 pads should last you a nice amount of time.
    Now, the delivery. This was the first time I ordered these pads from amazon. The jar had leaked inside the box. There was no plastic seal around the top of the jar and the inside seal was partially opened. Please note that this product is non-returnable. I overlooked that when I placed the order and discovered it only when I tried to return the opened jar. Amazon customer service was great and they were quick to help me out. I am reserving judgement on the company though. Maybe it was a one shot thing and I just happened to be the one unlucky to have been the recipient of a non-perfect product. Although I got my current jar of the wine pads from elsewhere, I do plan to reorder from this company one more time when I run out. I would like to give them the benefit of doubt, since other reviewers do not seem to have had similar experiences.

    I've already tried the lemon version and loved it. It lightened up the few dark spots I had, and made my skin buttery smooth. The wine version seems to be the most popular. So I decided to give it a whirl. Holy crap, y'all. It's not as intense as the lemon (not that the lemon is intense at all, but I could definitely feel a tingle when I used it - no tingle with the wine) so I wasn't sure if I'd like it or not. Went through the same routine I used with the lemon, and when I rinsed my face off, at first I wasn't super impressed. Exfoliated a bit, sure. But I didn't see any other changes. Went to bed thinking that I'd probably switch back to the lemon after this jar was done, or maybe give the green tea a try. But when I woke up this morning, I noticed a difference right away. I'm pushing 40, and have started noticing the pores on my cheeks a bit more, lately. They were pretty much invisible before, but now they're visible, and it bothers me because it reminds me of a mean old lady I knew when I was a kid, who had giant open pores all over her face that her foundation would settle into over the course of the day, so by the end of the day her face would be covered in little dots of foundation. So weird. ANYWAY.....my pores shrank, literally overnight! My skin feels just as smooth as it did with the lemon, but also feels a bit firmer. Freaking amazing. And this is after only 1 use. I won't say yet that this is my holy grail, but it might turn into that! Either way, I freaking love this version, and look forward to seeing the results after I've been using it for a month or so!

    Neogen neogen neogen,! i love neogen.This product does a thorough job in exfoliating my skin! Depending on the order of skincare regimen it is better than Skinfood's exfoliating masks in my opinion. I usually use skinfood;s sugar scrub in the shower when my face is wet, so it only mildly exfoliates my skin, but I think that is why skinfood is better for everyday usage, only if your face is not dry.

    With Neogen however, I think it's one of those manual exfoliants to use maybe one a week as a top up, or maybe twice a week if it is the only exfoliator used. My skin feels like I've had a facial done afterwards and seeing all the trapped dirt/sebum afterwards is weirdly satisfying. o.O

    The product is very nice but I was a bit surprised as the sheet is really big. I try to utilize each cotton pad when I use as much as possible as the sheet is really big. When you use the rough side, be more gentle to you skin as I didn't know that so the first day I felt I rubbed it too hard. I really like the soft side.
