Talented Mexican artisans from Vidri Arte conjure a colorful kaleidoscope to frame a favorite photo. Designed for a 5x7 inch photograph, the frame is crafted by hand with stained glass fragments. The frame features two black iron stands to display the photo either in a vertical or horizontal position.
Because each piece is individually crafted, each is absolutely unique. The motifs could differ slightly from those pictured and the size could vary by as much as +/- 2 cm.

We have been receiving so many orders that we've been able to employ assistant artisans, and we have chosen to employ artisans with physical disabilities, so they may have an opportunity to contribute to their family's income, and become financially independent.

Original Artisan Story
"With our work, we want to make this project self-supporting. 'Don't give a man a fish, but teach him to fish' is our guiding philosophy. Work is essential in a person's formation, and this is why we've begun a workshop to produce handicrafts in glass as the first stage of a project that will lead us to attain our complete ideal. In this stage, we have hired deaf people, taught them a trade and we pay them a salary. They receive all the perquisites required by law, they participate in the system of socialized medicine for working people (IMSS) and they can earn weekly bonuses and prizes. We assist them with their audiometric exams and help them acquire hearing aids.
"We also give jobs to pregnant women from the 'Vida y Familia A.C.' shelter. These are people who for a number of reasons – rape, abandonment, family violence, etc. – are living at the shelter, and it is impossible for them to find a job to save money for when the baby is born. We are also working hand in hand with the state's Family Development Agency (DIF), that aids people with different kinds of handicaps.
The final objective is a simple one – to be happy. For our employees, our goal is to offer them an education and help them develop as people of integrity with positive attitudes, aptitudes and values. We want them to be able to contribute to the development of others, of their community, city and country.
"Vidri Arte came about as a reaction to the reality in which we live as we seek coherence and congruence in our own lives. Since we were children we've learned certain beliefs and a scale of values. We've also had experiences that showed us the extreme reality some people face. This made us stop and realize how our friends graduate from college programmed to find the best possible job, the best position in a prestigious company. But, after searching our own hearts, after questioning our reason for living, we asked what we could do and where our acts would take us. Happiness? Fulfillment? I think everyone asks these questions, but the difference is this – do we go with the flow? Or do we try to achieve congruence and coherence in our lives?
"Our fundamental mission in Vidri Arte is to train people with attitudes, aptitudes and values for the common good. We want our endeavor to be an innovator. We want to help those less fortunate by contributing to their personal success and help them generate and administer economic resources.
"To achieve this, Vidri Arte hopes to create a new business philosophy by demonstrating that this is a viable style of life, a way to be happy. We want to promote the development of our personnel, to be a business with a social conscience, committed to the development of our community and our country. FINDING YOUR SIZE
Take your measurements with the tape measure over your under garments. If your measurements fall between sizes you may prefer the next larger size. Inseam, skirt and dress lengths vary by style and will be listed in the item description. Our sweaters are knit in standard American sizes, however actual measurements vary by style.
BUST / CHEST
Measure around the fullest part of chest under the arms and over the shoulder blades keeping the tape measure level.
WAIST
Measure around the smallest part of the waist keeping the tape measure comfortably loose. Most garments use the low waist measurement noted below.
LOW WAIST
Measure around the body approximately 1.5" below the natural waist (above). This is the area where most pants and skirts actually fit.
HIPS
Standing with your heels together, measure around the fullest part of the body approx 7"-8" below the waist.
NECK
Measure around the base of the neck keeping the tape measure comfortably loose.
SLEEVE
Bend elbow slightly and starting at the center back of the neck, measure across the shoulder, to the elbow and down to the wrist.
INSEAM
Our standard inseam length for women is 32" and 34" for men; however inseam measurements will vary slightly by style.
Belts with buckles are measured in inches that correspond to a waist size however, most people do not wear belts on the waist, they wear them closer to the hips. A buckle belt measurement is take from the end of the "pin" of the buckle to the middle hole on the belt. Generally there are 5 holes for size adjustment, with a 1" space between each, so the middle hole will the be average size of the belt.
For at tie belt (no buckle) measure the belt portion end to end and half of the tie portion. This again is the medium size of the belt.
For a soft fabric tie belt it can be called "1 size fits most" and the entire length of the belt should be measured and listed.

Sash tie length
Lay sash/tie out flat away from the garment and measure from end to end.
Belt with buckle
Measure from the end of the pin of the buckle (where it touches the buckle) to the middle hole.
Belt without buckle
Measure from the belt portion end to end and half of the tie portion. This is will give you the medium size of the belt.
