- Reviewed in the United States on April 30, 2023Size: One SizeColor: Deep BlueVerified PurchaseI like that it (almost) matches my carry-on! And it was on sale! I like that it has a 10 year warranty, it’s lightweight, it turns well, and this check bag is large enough to hold everything I need for a three week trip to Asia. I don’t need a fancy designer bag. I just need something sturdy that will hold up and be easy to move since I’m short plus had shoulder surgery last year. Oh, and I do want my bag to look presentable. It does!
I read reviews where some complained about scratches; I don’t care about that. Well, I’ve also read that they can be rubbed out with a little bit of fine cleansing powder too so I don’t believe it will be a problem. And you do have to peel off the protective plastic film first! Apparently some people had not.
My matching carry-on looks good after five years with minimal scratches. So I expect the same from the 24 inch suitcase. I would be disappointed if it arrived with an obvious dent, but I would be disappointed with the baggage handlers: Oops.
Realistically, I expect it to get banged around since it’s a checked bag, but it’s got lots of sturdy zippers to keep it together. Still, I bought luggage straps just in case. I’m pleased. Maybe I’ll update this after traveling and report how my 24” check bag survived.
edit: This suitcase stood up to handling from Atlanta to Tokyo (plus a Japanese domestic flight) and back. I used orange luggage straps which help me identify it! But the suitcase’s zippers held up fine. I used the expansion zippers since I needed to squeeze it closed, and I still had no problems. I watched my case be loaded onto a JAL flight, and then again onto a Delta flight. Guess which was roughest? Go USA handlers. But realistically, I expected as much based on sheer volume. Think how many bags get moved each connection. So while the case ended up with a few black marks and scratches, I was able to remove the marks easily with a magic eraser. After flying close to 15,000 miles, I’m very pleased.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 15, 2025Size: Checked-Medium 24-InchColor: BurgundyVerified PurchaseThe suitcase is beautiful! Great size, expandable, TSA compatible locks, smooth wheels, and very sturdy. I’ll know better how it holds up after it has been tossed around on the airplane.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 30, 2016Size: One SizeColor: CharcoalVerified PurchaseGreat look, packs well, dissimilar to other luggage. We have 6 of these, both carry on hard cases and large check size. I occasionally check the bag when it's free at the gate. Thanks to my credit card, I get a free checked bag, so we always check the larger versions of this when we are on extended travel. The only issue we've experienced in over 60 flights last year was the bars of the handle became bent due to the gorilla baggage handler. I opened the case (easy to access because of the zippered liner) and made a fix by hammering and straightening the assembly. Overall, the carry on hard case is ample for 4 days of clothing (haha...it *can* be done if you're a good packer). Wheels and case have held up well, there are scratches that turn out to be plastic rubbed onto the finish that comes off with a cleaner like goof-off or just glass cleaner. Easy to tote around the airport with a soft case on top, and the case fits easily down the seat aisle rolling on all 4 wheels.
[Update]: Still working great after 4+ years and over 1000 flights now. It shows wear and tear on the wheels, but it looks practically brand new. Zippers, Lock and handles all working fine...
I traveled 20 weeks and over 60 flights last year with this little case, for what it's worth I'll pass on a few hints I use to pack if anyone is interested...
-Pants, large items...fold them in as large an area as possible to fit in the case. The fewer folds, less wrinkles.
-Underwear, Undershirts, socks, etc...don't fold small. Layer them on top of other clothing in as large and thin a layer as possible.
-Dress shirts: [Have cleaners] use heavy starch, fold in 3rd, and layer alternating collars and place in zippered top section.
-I pack dry toiletries in a clear sided pencil case, and all 3oz. in a heavy duty zippered freezer bag.
-Carry toiletries and liquids in a soft carry on to avoid spills and save space..eases TSA process.
-Pack hangers and hang out clothes, unpack as soon as possible.
-Purchase a few zip-lock style shrink bags. I don't use these to pack GOING, I use them to store worn clothes for the trip BACK...amazing how much space they create when packing to come home. Easy to 'vacuum' seal by covering with a hotel pillow and laying on it to remove air.
-Bring a few plastic shopping bags (wrap your shoes) and also protect clothing from spills. They come in handy in CA (no bags at grocery stores!)
-I carry a back pack to house my iPad, MacBook, toiletries and a few snacks + a collapsable water bottle I fill just before flight...I try to put my shoes and at least a days change of clothes in case I check my hard case carry on and they lose it!
Hope that helps, or perhaps there's something in there you can use to add to what works for you.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 27, 2024Size: Checked-Large 28-InchColor: Ice BlueVerified PurchaseI got this suitcase on a Cyber Monday deal. I wanted a different color but this (ice blue) was what was on sale, and I'm a cheapskate about some things. I wouldn't call it ice blue, I'd call it aqua or turquoise. I discovered while traveling this past week (first time I used it) that the color makes it very easy to distinguish among the multitude of black bags on the carousel, so I'm happy about that. I checked to see what size I should buy for a 1 week trip and it said the 28" so that's what I bought. Turns out that was quite a bit larger than what I needed, and I generally overpack. A 26" would have worked out perfectly, I think. Maybe next Cyber Monday I'll be able to get a deal on one of those.
I was dismayed when the first flight really scuffed up the hard sides, and by the end of my trip (3 more flights) it was looking pretty overused. I asked a question about the best way to clean off the scuffs and was told to use a Magic Eraser pad. Luckily I happened to have a box full. I have only done the very top of the front of the bag, due to arm issues I have. I found that the smaller scuffs came off quite easily, and the larger ones (especially the long one in the picture) took more elbow grease, but it eventually came off. I'll have to let my arm rest up before continuing, but thought I would post pictures for anyone wondering the same thing about ease of cleaning.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with the suitcase, and instead of dragging around a 35+ year old carpet-bag style suitcase, I'm feeling very stylish with this spinner.

Size: Checked-Medium 24-InchColor: Brushed AnthraciteVerified PurchaseJust got back from a 2 week trip to Spain, this suitcase was plenty big enough for 2+ weeks of travel.
Wheels are good on smooth surfaces, not so much but not horrible on uneven pavement or cobblestones.
I left the plastic wrap that it came shipped with, didn't notice and damage or scratches, but time will tell.
