If you are new to standing while you work, we recommend beginning with standing for only 1 hour on your first day. Once you DeskStand™ ships you will receive an electronic guide to get your standing while you work. This guide or Two Week StandWorking™ Challenge is over a 2 week period and slowly strengthens your bodies core muscles to stand for up to 4 hours per day. Ideally we recommend standing for no longer than half of your work day which is 4 hours. The DeskStand™ offers the balance the body needs, one can't stand all day but you can't sit all day either.

If you are a standing veteran and find yourself standing for over 4 hours per day we recommend using an Anti Fatigue Foam Mat which takes the strain off the legs and heels.

The DeskStand™ has been developed and designed to support many variations of large computer screens, however, not all are made equal. If you feel your screen is positioned too close to your eyes and you've tried to move it as far back as possible there is an alternative option. This Desk Stand Original is as advertised and even better than I expected. Simple, elegant and flexible design. It will work perfectly for our application and I can see it will be useful in other situations. I ordered 2 extra shelves and they shipped them together for free. Shipping was a little delayed due to weather, but the customer service was excellent. Very quick responses to my many questions!

The desk is amazing and I love it. You need to know, though, that it is actually coming from South Africa, not Carlisle PA as stated in the page (it even had a not about how ecological it was to shop close to your address.)

We are approaching our 10th year of business (Hooray!) and are the original designers and producers on the DeskStand. Our office and factory is based in beautiful Cape Town in South Africa. We manufacture here and export in bulk to warehouses around the world - this is a more cost effective and environmentally friendly way of transporting goods. Sometimes when stock sells out in our warehouses and we are waiting on more stock to arrive, we need to courier directly from our offices using our reliable couriers. This item is just what I expected. It's easy to set up and adjust. I think it's a little bigger than you might think from the photo, but the workspace is just the right size to be functional for a larger laptop and keyboard. I love it and use it to sit on the floor right now.
