Product Description
With up to 24 hours of total battery life and a complete yet simple set of controls, Sesh Evo is the easiest way to go truly wireless. For example, the buds automatically enter pairing mode the first time they power on. And after that, they’ll instantly pair with the last device you used. Likewise, you can adjust volume, skip tracks, take calls, activate an assistant and even select different EQ modes—all with a single finger, and without ever touching your phone. Sesh Evo earbuds are water, sweat and dust resistant. Built-in Tile technology helps you find your buds if you misplace them. And with the Skullcandy Fearless Use Promise, if anything ever happens to a bud or the case, you can replace it at a discount.

I’ve had these since 12/2021. I am 99% sure they were a Treasure Truck buy. They were really inexpensive, and I wanted to give them a try…
For background- I have a Dell work computer. Everything else I have is apple, including multiple pairs of AirPods. I think AirPods are truly incredible and best in class… But, I wanted a pair of buds that I could connect to my Dell for work use that I could use solely for video calls that went through my computer.
Are these the best? No, they are like $25, so come on. Align expectations with price point and be realistic about expectations. They don’t have the best sound. Sometimes the left one doesn’t charge without me taking it out and reinserting it. They are not perfect… But, what I can say is that they’ve survived 1.5 years, through literally hours of usage every workday. They sound good enough that I can clearly hear meetings and people can hear me when I speak. They are also still kicking! I travel with these things, toss them into my bag and go…they are the set of buds I have that I don’t baby and don't really care if I break. They’ve held up remarkably.
I intentionally found the order so I could write this review. These things are durable, function alright, and work WELL. They’re not going to be your prized possession, but they will be your dependable buds that you can throw in your gym bag, their in your briefcase, wear in rain without really caring, etc. I can’t really say enough good things about them. 5 star rating for sure. If I calc out roughly 1.5 years with a $25 price tag, it comes out to about a nickel a day, and I can’t beat that. And, again, they’re still kicking and I expect they will last long past the 2 year mark.
I had a lot of trouble with the Jib True falling out of my ears when I was moving around a lot, and the Sesh Evo stay in solid place comfortably without a bunch of fiddling. I've worn them for a couple hours while cleaning, bending over, twisting around a lot, and I didn't have to touch them once or resettle them.
Music quality is strong, even at the lowest audible device volume, it comes through clear without deafening or whispering. Noise cancellation with both ear buds in is good too, also at lowest device volume, successfully mutes surroundings without needing volume to drown it out.
Battery power is FAR superior. I love that I can tap the button on the case and check the level remaining. I've had these in and out for varying periods of time and not had to charge them more than once a week. Jib True only lasted a few days even sitting idle, but these Sesh Evo really held up and stepped it up. Would readily buy them again.
Color is also great, I loved the different options available other than just white or black, and they're visible in ear without being too big or obvious, but they're also large enough to not get easily lost if you set them down outside the case. Setting them up with Tile was quick as a back up plan as well, just to make them easy to find if they do get separated.
Connecting with devices was easy and quick (using them for a Chromebook and an android phone) and disconnecting simple too. I control music from my device more than from the earbud, so I can't say much about the easy of tap once for this command or hold for two seconds on that, I mostly use press once to pause audio, and the rest I do via device itself. Only issues I've had has been getting too far away from my device (phone will be on the other side of the apartment and I walk into another room on the opposite end, it might cut out for a second and then pick back up when I'm in range) but that's range, not product issue.
I would recommend this to anyone and everyone that doesn't want to pay the price tag of Airpods, and to anyone that is willing to pay that much too, because these are honestly stellar quality for the price, as Skullcandy always has been, in my experience.
I had to switch the ear gels to to get them to fit better in my ears. Luckily it came with three sizes. A tip for making sure they stay in is to pull your earlobe down and back when placing them in. They stay so much better.
They are very noise cancelling. Even when I m not listening to anything they strongly dampen incoming sounds. Sometimes I use them as earplugs. The sound clarity is good but it is very loud. I have to put my phone on the lowest possible volume and go into the equalizer to lower the decibels so that it is at a more comfortable volume. The lowest setting on my laptop is sometimes still too loud.
I like that each earbud has built in tile. Just make sure they are always charged. I wish the tile sound was louder when tracking it but it is still really helpful. They are small so I lose them easily so I made myself a rule that I don't take them out of my ears unless they are going back in the case.
The battery is ok. When it is fully charged it lasts as long as it is supposed to. My issue is that they do not always charge all the way. I think it is a matter of the earbuds not connecting properly to the pins. I have tried placing some fabric in the lid to push the earbuds down more onto the pins. It seems to have helped a little more but it has not completely solved the issue. Sometimes they will be 80% charged or 50% charged after leaving them in the case for a few days. I really only use them when my headphones die so they have more than enough time to charge in between uses. The left earbud always dies first.
They also keep disconnecting and reconnecting to my laptop. However, I am not sure if this issue is caused by my laptop or the ear buds.
I have worn them in the shower a few times. I just keep my head out of the water and remove the earbuds before washing my face and my hair. I now have a real waterproof speaker but they seem to have no negative affects from the light water. The issues I've had has existed before wearing them in the shower and since I tried to keep them out of the direct stream of water they barely got wet.
