As a slimmer male of shorter stature, I have often been plagued with a selection of shorts that have wide legs and lengths that often fall well below my knee. Fortunately, the revolution to offer slimmer fits continues and I am a fan of the Starter Men's Slim Fit Mesh Short. The short is priced to be affordable. The fit is slim but not too tight. The shorts fall just above my knee.
I purchased a small size in white and included pics of the measurements. For reference I am 5’6” and 138lbs. After reading other reviews I wanted to offer my opinion about the opaqueness of the fabric. There are two very thin layers overall and a single layer in the pockets. I believe the lighter fabric is a fair trade-off for comfort and breath-ability. A shadow can be seen beneath the shorts but is no cause for concern in my opinion. In perfect lighting conditions and amidst the perfect angle the shorts may present some transparency but nothing that could not be remedied by dark under garments. I have included pictures on a sunny afternoon as an example. I am happy with my purchase and look forward to purchasing additional colors.
