I recently changed my cable tv to Youtube tv. The television in my room had access to YouTube but not the Youtube app. The Roku changed that. It also allowed me to access both Youtube tv and the Paramount channel. Not to mention all of the channels available from Roku itself.

Added Entertainment

I replaced an Amazon Firestick that was using wifi. This is so much better, faster, and more reliable. The Firestick would overheat and become unuasble. I dont have a smartv, so this was a great option. If your remote starts acting up, i suggest charging it or power cycling the device. Great product. Definitely recommend!

Easy set-up

I have four different Roku at my home, and this Ultra, by far, has the best sound and picture quality. It is easy to setup, and is user friendly. I would highly recommend this product.,

Roku, has outstanding products.

Live TV channels, free movies, shows, %26 no monthly bills. Got for my Mother %26 she is thrilled! Voice remote is amazing, USB cable charges it from base (no more batteries!), has volume control, remote finder, %26 headphones.  Mine is older %26 this one is much improved! Way to go Roku!

♥️ Roku Ultra ♥️

Not sure what to think about the Roku ultra yet because I'm still getting used to it. But my experience with the staff was fine. They were very helpful and friendly.

Friendly customer service, but…

It worked on a 10 year old smart TV I have so many channels and free movies. This device will entertain everyone sports fans and music lovers too!  4 stars as I could not pair their remote with any of mine..but the remote they give you works great and no other remote is needed!

No Cable and No new TV needed

The Roku function is not intuitive or user friendly.  It's cumbersome, and it doesn't always work, for example, if you inadvertently add a channel you did not intend to add, you cannot delete it. Just trying to get back to the Roku Live TV Guide is not easy and doesn't always work in one press of the button. I've even set it as my 1st shortcut, but it doesn't always work. Adding channels isn't always easy.  Sometimes you have to set up accounts with individual channels just to access their channel, and I'm constantly having to enter my PIN even though the channel is supposedly free.  It is definitely an adjustment going from cable tv to streaming, and the Roku device does not always do what it claims it can do.  Overall, I'm not a fan, but I'll keep the device anyway, because it will still be cheaper than cable.

I've had a Roku TV for years, so when that TV died a few weeks ago, I decided to go with a Samsung smart TV but wanted to stick with Roku for streaming. Being unfamiliar with how these devices work, and since I my family has a habit of losing the remote, I went with this model. Pricey but fairly good reviews. Big mistake…HUGE. It's simple enough to set up, but the stupid remote requires charging! WHAT?? What human being (the same person who frequently loses remotes) remembers to put their remote on a charging cord every night?! COLOSSALLY STUPID DESIGN. Also, it's supposed to replace the TV remote, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to get it to turn my Tv on and off — or control the its volume. Again, just dumb. Now, Roku is saying there's an error with the HDMI connection, so I've been messing around with cords all night long, going to the Roku website, etc. But…guess what we're NOT doing…watching any TV. And this inaction will be repeated tomorrow when I head back to Walmart and take this useless device back. Buyer beware…

THE WORST STREAMING DEVICE OUT THERE!

I hope you're a hi tech individual if you plan to set this up. It's either not compatible with the Wi-Fi on my iPhone or i couldn't figure it out. I have other wireless items that is recognized on iPhone but not this one. Very frustrating so thanks to Wal Mart's return policy I'm taking it to the store for a refund.

Too high tech for me, or not compatible

I'm was going to upgrade from a Roku Ultra (4660X) to the Roku Ultra (4802R). I'm very familiar with Roku (have 7 of them) and know about eARC, home audio/video, etc… 
The 4660X is connected to a Hisense TV (75U7H) and has a Sonos Arc connected via eARC. This setup is working 100% without issues, never had a problem. 
I've removed the 4660X and setup the 4802R and now have nothing but audio issues. I've wasted almost two hours of my life trying to get it to work and have concluded that this has to be some kind of software issue with the device itself. I can get sound through the TV speakers, but for whatever reason the 4802R will not output sound to the Sonos Arc. At one point the Roku literally kept changing form eARC to TV speakers. Every time I switched; it would switch back. Never seen any other device do that and I also have an Xbox SX %26 PS5 in the mix. 
I've already tried cycling every setting (obviously), pulling HDMI cables, power cycling, etc… and went as far as resetting the Roku Ultra (4802R), still no go. Popped the old 4660X back in and it works without issue…
I would love an explanation from Roku however they no longer like to use email and the details of this issue are too much for a dinky chat window. 
I already boxed the 4802R up to send back but figured I'd share this with others if they have the same issue with the same devices. Obviously the problem is NOT the TV nor the Sonos as they work fine with the older device.
