The Good:
1. These gloves work as advertised. They are great for using on touch screens. I can use them on my phone and in my car which unfortunately uses touch panels for everything including the defrost and heater buttons. In some instances, I think the control is better than with my bare finger tips. I was even able to text with my iPhone 6 without difficulty.
2. They are thin enough to enable you to use them for things that require manual dexterity, like using my keys on the door, keying in the panel to open my garage, and plugging my phone into the lightning cable in the car. In the past, I'd have to take my gloves off to do any of these things. They conform to my fingers well (tend to run small, see below) so they feel less like winter gloves and more like driving gloves.
3. Seem to be reasonably warm in this thus-far mild Wisconsin Winter.
4. The fingers and palms are covered with a sticky grip substance which works well. No problem holding on to a slippery iPhone or gripping a smooth steering wheel while driving. This means you don't have worry about dropping your phone when you're wearing them.
The Bad:
1. The sizes are too small. Even the chart, which you can download and print for hand comparison, is misleading. I mapped out between a medium and a large on their chart, but the large gloves were way too small. It felt more like I was trying to shove my hand into a child's glove. They say they are snug when you first get them and stretch with use, and this is true, but still the fingers were too short (about 2/3 the length of my fingers in the large size) and the wrist was completely uncovered. I could barely get it to cover my palm. I almost wonder if they had sent me a small instead, but I see this as pretty common on other reviews. Bottom line, plan to buy a size LARGER than you think you need. If you usually wear a Large, get an Extra Large. If you wear Extra Large, look elsewhere.
2. Make sure you buy from an Amazon Prime vendor with free, no-questions asked returns or you will have to pay shipping to return them, and then wait while the company reviews the condition of the product (I guess to determine if they can resell them) before deciding if they will refund your money. They say it will take up to 4 weeks for a refund, although mine was less. I bought my larger pair from a different vendor for this reason.
The Ugly:
No matter how careful you think you are with these gloves, then will immediately develop thread fiber pulls that look ugly, and look like they may lead to some unravelling. I noticed this right off the bat, and I'm just putting them in open coat pockets with out keys or other sharp objects.
Pros:
1. It's been a warm winter this year, roughly 10-15 degress on a cold morning and usually 20s the rest of the day. Through that weather, even with wind, these gloves have kept my hands warm. Not toasty, but warm. Which is more than enough. My hands do get chilly from prolonged usage of my phone if it's windy but that might not apply to everyone.
2. Despite being heavy winter gloves they still fit comfortably in my jacket pocket and are low enough profile to not be a hassle to contain.
3. Every inch of the glove is conductive, I can touch it any way I like and have it work.
Cons:
-Day One
1. Even when I bought the XL size of these gloves it wasn't enough. I don't have huge hands but big hands and I was barely able to fit my fingers inside. Each time I put them on I have to push down between my fingers to get it to fit properly.
2. There's already a snag pull on the right thumb.
-After One Week
1. There are pulls appearing all along the seams of this glove. It looks like it's ready to fall apart after only a week and I only wear them or keep them in a jacket pocket but themselves.
-After One Month
1. Starting to notice conductivity issues in my index finger, using my middle finger more often.
2. Shortly after switching to my middle finger noticing some lag in touches with that finger as well.
-After Two and a Half Months
1. Lost all conductivity in the right hand, no longer usable unless I press my knuckles to the screen.
The long and short of it is that they are basically just winter gloves now and useless for using my phone with. I can switch to my left hand and get conductivity but that does me little good as I'm right handed. I notice that there is a warranty on the gloves... FOR 90 DAYS! They know their product will fail obviously and that is why the warranty is so short. You must also have the original package according to their site. I'm within 90 days so I'm trying to get them replaced, will relay my experience with them and possibly modify my rating based upon that.
