Great chest pack

Great piece of kit

I have been looking for a dynamic carry rig like this for years. I have not found anything close to it on the market. I regularly trail run and hike areas that either lie adjacent or are fully in bear, cougar and moose territory and this kit checks a lot of boxes.

Why It is a 4 star review
This rig is comfortable to wear even when trail running for hours at a time. It holds my .40 Springfield XD subcompact with its full size 11 round clip and I would say it has room to spare for a larger pistol, no problem. Regardless of how fast I was running, the firearm itself was completely snug and secure, there was no sliding within its compartment and the same goes for my phone in its separate compartment.
I found it very convenient being able to swing down the front pouch to consult my phone, start/stop Strava, pandora etc. through the clear plastic inner lining. I am a righty but it looks like it has an equally ergonomic left and right handed access for a pistol draw.
The rig is also minimal and takes up very little real estate on the body. It stays out of the way of both natural arm swing and hiking/running stride. I mention this because it means this kit is easily used in tandem with other gear like a full sized camel back or even a full sized back country backpack for those doing more miles.

Why it is not a 5 star review
the only issue I have had with the product is fairly specific to my size. I am 5'8" 180lbs and in decent shape, so the rig even when tightened to its max is still a little loose during running and has a slight vertical bounce at anything faster than a 10 minute mile, otherwise the rig as a unit stays very secure.
I did not find this prohibitive for running but it is noticeable ( I would say a taller larger person would not have these same issues). Additionally, I did not buy the water bladder that is made specifically for this rig and it is very possible that adding that to the back panel would help better secure the overall setup during running activities for me, hard to say. It is important to note that I experienced no issues whatsoever for hiking.

Overall, a great piece of equipment, great quality of materials and ergonomics for both phone and firearm. Very comfortable to wear for hours on end. Looks good and provides nice ventilation. This product fits for my purposes very well, would buy again.

100% Worth it

If you’re like me then you’ve been looking and waiting to buy one of these chest packs for a while now (I’ve been contemplating for close to a year) party due to what seems like the color I want always selling out, but also because there are so many cheaper options for similar products. If you want quick and cheap this might not be for you, because what you get is a quality product that sells out quickly so therefore you pay a premium for it, but in my honest opinion it is 100% worth it. It is worth the price and it is worth the wait. Although truth be told I went ahead and ordered the black one when I really wanted the green. Why did I order the Pro-180X Chest Pack? I specifically ordered it for running, complete disclosure it is not good for this for me personally. The Pro-180X is larger in person than you might expect and while it is completely comfortable to walk or hike or bike ride in it bounces around a lot when running or jogging especially if you’re carrying a phone or speaker or knife or whatever else you can put in the pockets. This is not negative reflection on the product in my opinion just a miscalculation on my part and 100% the reason why I’m ordering the Pro-180 slim and Chest Pack to test both of those as well. Moving on to the material, this might be my favorite part, it’s EXCELLENT quality. Its sleek and light but also tough and obviously meant to me used outside rigorously and often (daily for me). The outside material is as advertised, but the thing that surprised me was the inside material is very soft and can equally act as a great pocket to protect valuable but also you can put your bare hands inside it to keep them warm if you left your gloves at home. The inside main pocket is huge and easily fit a large plastic water bottle, my wallet, a knife and a couple other trinkets when carefully organized (although it was slightly bulky but I didn’t mind). Next thing I’ll cover is the outside pocket for your phone, I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max and once you take the foam insert out my phone fits PERFECTLY and the camera lines up with the window as advertised. The only downside I found (and this might be user error) is the plastic cover things can bunch up on certain parts of the screen and make using your phone a bit frustrating and to be honest since I use thing while running or walking I just put my phone in the pocket directly and it works great for me. The double zippers on the outer pocket is fantastic and rugged and definitely seal up the pocket to fully protect your phone or if you want quick access I leave my zippers down and just pull from the top to undo the Velcro (as advertised) it works great. Also being able to open and close the window is so cool! In ending this product is SO cool and while this specific model isn’t great for running specifically (in my humble opinion) it’s so worth buying for practically anything else “outdoor activities” wise. I’ve used it for walking, bike rides, disc golf, hell I even used it in my car to film a short of me driving lol guys if you really want one no matter the model and you are still on the fence go ahead an buy it. Its so freakin worth it! Just be sure to do a little research and see if the specific model you’re looking at is gonna be comfortable for your specific activity. If you made it this far god bless you lol but I just wanted to be thorough because I know how apprehensive I was to spend $100+ on anything! Thanks guys hope this helps.

Super nice pack - good practical functional design.

The pack is designed for practical functionality. It's perfect for most of the outdoor things I do. Nothing is out of reach and you don't have to remove the pack to get to what you want. It functions great as a conceal carry pack. I haven't put it through all the paces yet, but so far it's great.

The good:
1. Well made
2. Well thought out design for accessibility
3. Extremely nice window and adjustable design for the cell phone camera
4. All seams, buckles, snaps, and zippers are of high quality
5. Strong and light-weight

The not-so good: The one thing I strongly didn't appreciate was the glaring red, cheap looking, sewn-in rubberized logo that goes against all tactile subtlety. Really? Who needs to know the coordinates of the manufacture right on the front of the pack done in bright red? Some might find it cute, but I cut it off in the first 5 minutes of looking at the pack. In doing so, put a tear in the strap where it was strongly stitched. So, day one I have my first repair to make. I'll put a Velcro receptacle for a patch in its place, so at least the mistake can turn functional in some way. My suggestion is, make that logo a Velcro patch, so it can be removed if desired. But that's just me. Years in the military still has me thinking in the manner of tactical subtlety. Other than that, the pack is stellar!
