I took a chance on this lap desk and I’m so glad I did. It is nearly perfect for my use on the living room sofa.
Pros
* The height, at its shortest, is perfect for typing while I am on the sofa. No more awkwardly balancing my laptop or my iPad in my lap to type!
* It’s very simple to adjust. I don’t anticipate needing to extend the legs, but it’s really easy to do. Likewise, I probably won’t need to use the tilting top, but it’s also very simple to set up.
* It’s very sturdy and stable. Rock solid on a table top.
* The piece that keeps a laptop from sliding off when you have the desktop tilted is removable. In fact, it comes detached and tucked into the drawer. That’s great because it would otherwise be in the way.
* It is beautiful and the craftsmanship is top notch.
Cons
* The drawer is super tight in the slides. It’s very hard to open. Once it’s open, it’s hard to close. For me, that’s not a big enough deal to warrant removing a star.
This is a great piece of furniture. The creator obviously put a lot of thought into its design. It’s attractive and functional and I look forward to using it for many years to come.
