These things are great. Hubby got them for me for Christmas. Although I was t to enthusiastic about them as he was, I had to at least give them a try. I’m still not confident enough to wear them out in public like he is. He doesn’t care if people look at him funny lol. I do wear them all over the house and in the yard. (I just don’t go shopping in them ) they’re definitely comfortable but take some getting used to. It’s odd to feel as if you’re walking around the yard barefoot but when you step on something, it doesn’t hurt or anything lol. They’re much easier to put on than I expected as the hubby has a time getting his on and I fell and broke my wrist around thanksgiving so he had to help me get them on the first few times I wore them but once I got the hang of getting all my toes situated correctly, I can now slip them on and off with ease and the use of only one hand since the broken bone in my wrist severed the tendon to my thumb rendering it useless, I was delightfully surprised I was able to get them on without the use of both hands and gosh are they ever comfortable. They’re definitely my go to shoe for everything home related from yard work to house work. I love them. It’s like having nothing on my feet but having all the protection of having something on my feet. lol. Definitely worth the money!!

Labeled 38 but they are really tight 37s

These are not my first Vibrams. I measured my feet years ago and was a 36, but needed 37s for a little extra room for my toe nails to not bruise. I've owned at least 5 pairs of Vibrams all have been 37s. My two pairs of Alitzas are on their last few miles before I put holes in the soles, both are 37s with room to spare so my toes don't feel cramped.

When I went to buy these new Vibrams I was forced to buy using US shoe size which was odd, I made sure to go a 1/2 size down because I don't need a 1/2 inch play in Vibrams. What came were labeled 38 but I was sure they were the width of my 37s and I held them up to my Alitzas and sure enough the soles are definitely 37s, the marking on the bottom are exactly like my Alitas and match line for line from heel to toe. So I wasn't too worried about the size, BUT THEN, when I put them on, they were so tight. My first thought was, it's ok, I want them to fit like gloves. But these are too tight. I'm considering if I should return them. It's like Vibram doesn't think about people with arches and the big toes are so tight. I've worn them 2 days now hoping they will stretch a bit. I don't know if they will but the thought of getting 39s just feels wrong.

What happened to Vibram's sizing?

Update: After a week at Disney they've stretched out enough to feel like nice gloves. They are not as tight as when they arrived and I have no intention of returning them. But I'm leaving my 1 star because I can't get over the sizing issue. One of the main things I loved about Vibrams was that the sizing was precise and carried over from model to model. To be labeled as 38 and be way to small for my expectations is unforgivable.

I love the colors, I love the shoe. I wish the laces were about 1/4" longer. I can't get over the labeled size.

These shoes do not perform as well as the Spyridon. I ordered the same size, but the arch does not feel as if it is in the same place, and the stretch across the top of my foot is not as forgiving as the Bikila or Spyridon. I don't know if that is because of the traditional lacing system used on these shoes or not, but the shoe does begin to feel too tight around the top, near the balls of my feet, as I run.
Otherwise, the sole feels great on the road, if just a little more "plastic" in the way it feels. Pliable, but...like plastic.

Extra wide feet & short toes

I have extra wide feet and short little sausage toes, so finding any kind of shoe that fits is nearly impossible. I thought I would try these and they fit much better than I expected. Length wise, I wear a women’s US 7.5, width wise I would need an extra wide (EE/EEE). I’ve read they run a little small, so I sized up to a 39, which is a US 8-8 1/2. I knew they would be a little difficult the first few times to get my toes in, but the more you wear them the easier it gets. They felt a little too tight the first time I put them on, so I loosened the laces in the fore- and mid-foot, and they fit much more comfortably. My toes are short, so there is a 1/4” gap at the end of each small toe, but my big toes fill the whole toe space. They are actually a little snug, which surprised me. Overall, they are pretty comfy, but I wish they were just a tiny bit looser. If they were made of a stretchy upper material, I think they would be 100% comfortable. Since I sized up, the tread is also a little long on the heel, but it curves up and cups my heel so it’s not bad. I don’t mind the fabric between the toes, but I’ve just been wearing them around the house to get used to them. These would fit someone with more “average” feet better than they fit me, but I’m still wearing them, so they are more comfy than most shoes I have owned.
*EDIT*: Wore these hiking on an unexpectedly long hike (our first hike ever and it was 4 miles, half of it was steep). By the end of the hike I was sure I was dying - but for once, my feet weren’t killing me! Don’t get me wrong, they were very tired from all that walking and climbing, but they weren’t aching like they normally do in shoes.

I like these shoes and think they're good replacements for any other toe separators that I've purchased in the past.
Make sure you size up when ordering, and even doing so, you would have to struggle a bit when you want to waer them, but it gets easier when you get used to them. I hope they actually help my arch pains. I wear them as indoor shoes.

Ich habe mir die Zehenschuhe für mein Krafttraining im Gym bestellt. Zu Beginn war es sehr tricky hineinzukommen. Es hat bestimmt 20 min gedauert. Ich war schweißgebadet und extrem genervt. Es fühlte sich wie das pure Chaos im Schuh an. Kreuz und quer flogen die Zehen rum, nur nicht dahin wo sie hinsollten. Zwischenzeitlich war ich mir nicht mehr so sicher, ob ich 5 Zehen am Fuß habe. Mein Mann gab mir den Tipp den Fuß zu strecken und die Zehen anzuziehen, wenn man den Schuh überstülpen möchte. Nach ca. 2 weiteren Minuten waren alle Zehen da, wo sie sein sollten. Ich hatte wirklich 5.

Die Schuhe geben einem im Studio einen guten Grip während der Übungen. Man könnte zwar auch Barfuß trainieren, aber insbesondere im Winter ist das einfach zu kalt und ganzjährlich zu unhygienisch. Bislang habe ich 4 Trainingseinheiten mit den Schuhen durchgestanden und bin durchweg zufrieden. Die Schuhe sitzen wie eine zweite Haut, sind sehr flexibel und machen wirklich jede Bewegung mit (siehe Video). Sollten die Schuhe in kürzester Zeit den Geist aufgeben, würde ich meine Bewertung aktualisieren.

Größemtechnisch fallen die Schuhe etwa eine halbe Nummer kleiner aus, die Tabelle von Vibram bietet aber eine gute Orientierung.

Mein Mann nutzt das Vorgängermodell seit über 10 Jahren und ist ebenfalls zufrieden.
