Details

The idea of successfully making an Indian grandmother-approved dinner can be daunting, but Masala Mama makes replicating those complex flavors as easy as tearing into a fresh plate of naan. We hear spicy, we hit "Add to Bag." There's the kind of spicy that just plain hurts but we love this Vindaloo sauce because it's spicy with depth. Layers, people!

Ingredients

Onion, Tomato, Water, Apple Cider Vinegar, Garlic, Ginger, Dates, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Spices, Salt, Paprika, Turmeric, Mustard, Citrus Fiber, Garam Masala. Contains Mustard.

How to Use

Sear your choice of protein then pour in the vindaloo sauce. Rinse out the jar with 1/4 cup of stock or water, so no sauce is left behind. When almost cooked, add more stock or water if it's too thick. Pair with rice or naan for the perfect meal. Phenomenal with sweet potatoes.

Recycling

Good news! Once rinsed and separated, the jar and lid are 100% curbside recyclable.

These are general guidelines for broadly-recyclable materials. Check with your local recycler to confirm what they take.

Masala Mama

Founded on the deep and meaningful act of gathering around the table as a family, Masala Mama creates products that brings people together. Growing up in Kolkata, India, founder Nidhi Jalan, was always passionate about food, going to farmer’s markets, trying out unusual vegetables, and sampling different regional cuisines. After moving to the U.S., she missed the nuance of homemade Indian food, so every time she went back to India she'd return with recipes for her favorite dishes. One day at a dinner party, the host mentioned that she would make Indian food more often if only it wasn’t so time-consuming—that was Nidhi’s “Aha!” moment. In 2013, she launched Masala Mama, and her spices and sauces continue to help take the pressure off recreating Indian dishes at home.
