The mother and daughter duo started the foundation in their small kitchen in Columbus, Ohio. Adepeju Oye, a cosmetologist, now expresses the love of hair by began her journey of understanding the history of hair from her early ages.

Our Co-founder Tolu spoke to @voguemagazine about her love for hair, being inspired by Nigerian culture, and self-care for their "Texture Diaries" series. ⁣ She shared some of her favorite traditional hair tools.
