I really enjoyed the Dark & Lovely cleansing water.  I used the cleansing water to freshen up my scalp and hair when I had in my braids.  I has and nice fresh scent and was very soothing to my scalp. I didn't know products like this existed until influenster sent me this Voxbox. Box braids are my go to style. I usually avoid any that would require me to wash them until I'm about to take them out. 

This rinse is a game changer. It comes out watery and has a nozzle, so it easily gets down to my scalp and it was easy to chase the parts. It has a very low lather. It was enough for me to feel and know where I missed spots, but it isn't heavy or difficult to rinse out like most shampoos. It smells great and my hair felt clean afterwards. I use a lot of edge control and gel, it removed all the residue. 

Even after drying, my hair that was out curled down and was so soft without moisturizer. (half I used the shae moisture rinse after & half I only used the dark & lovely). If you have non permanent color, be mindful that this will pull the color. For me, It's worth it hands down. I  think it would be perfect for fresh braid to help sooth the scalp too. Perfect for box braids, should be great for cornro

I wear braid for 100% of the year and Im always looking for products that help me keep my hair clean without having to take my style completely down. This cleanse is great for getting my scalp refreshed, although you use it just as you would shampoo. The consistency is very loose like water and the smell is subtle and refreshing. Great for protective styles!

I have box braids currently as a protective style, so this product was perfect. The nozzle on the bottle is perfect for precise application. The product feels so cold on my scalp, but it also felt very soothing. The scent was okay. It did leave my scalp clean though. Ive had my braids in for 4 weeks so far. Getting over the three week hump usually doesn't happen for most of my protective styles, but @Darkandlovely Clensing Water is coming through. Plus 1, it smells like rose water and aloe. Plus 2, it is simple to apply - generously spray your scalp with water and use the nozzle to follow up with the Cleansing Water. Rinse and feel instant relief (Plus 3). Plus 4, my hair felt soft and  free from product build up. The results carried my style through another week. I have also used it to refresh my favorite wig. Prolonged Protective Styles

While this product wont replace my staple shampoo, this will likely become the shampoo I use when Im wearing a protective style like braids or twists. The nozzle made it easy to get between my parts and the smell had me on cloud nine, it smelled fantastic. It lathered but not too much. The only criticism I have about this is that the product is very liquidity which caused me to have to scrub areas outside of my parts and made my style a little frizzy. Great for Braids and Twists!

I enjoyed using this product to cleanse my hair between protective styles. It is great to be used on a co-wash day because it is less harsh than a normal shampoo. Lathers very well and feels like it cleans the scalp well. Only downside is that a lot of the product may need to be used in order to get an effective cleanse. Finally!!!!!

This product was exactly what I needed. I have braids and have been stuck in the house due to the quarantine! With the hair salons being closed, I didnt know how I was going to stretch this hairstyle! Of course I was concerned about the health of my scalp, so this cleansing water gave me exactly what I needed! No itchy/flaky scalp, no product buildup, and it was gentle on my sensitive scalp. love this!

I was pleased when I found out Id be able to test a product that I can use on my locs! Being that my hair is natural I dont shampoo my hair very often (I co wash instead) so testing this was product was a thrill. You take the same steps you would to wash your hair but this product is very light weight, it smells really really good and it leaves your hair/scalp feeling refreshed, clean and vibrant looking. Ok I was NOT a fan of this product and do not think it is a good option for natural hair. I tried this on one of my wash days and that was a huge mistake. Im so glad my hair is short because it wouldve left my hair even more tangled and damaged. It has a pleasant scent. It lathers quickly, it left my hair feeling stripped of oils, tangled and brittle. I would not recommend this for anyone who has natural hair as it will make the detangling process VERY difficult because it creates more tangles due to the lack of slip. There was literally none. Not sure if this product would work better with braids or dreads. I just do not recommend it because it seems to be counterproductive to what you are trying to accomplish.
