    I have sensitive skin that is prone to irritation and dryness. I've been using this most days on my face and upper arms for a couple of weeks now, and it has helped to improve my skin texture immensely. The bumps on my arms arm gone and my face looks great. I haven't been able to use other products to help smooth the skin on my face because they have always immediately caused irritation. The first and second time I used this I felt momentary burning, but the sensation went away very quickly and never caused any visible skin irritation. To the contrary, my skin looks and feels better than it has in years.

    Other users have commented that it smells like cat pee. I have three cats, and I can assure you that is not what it smells like. It does have an odor, but it's just a light sour smell that I don't notice after a few minutes. Overall, I am super glad I tried this, it works!

    I was recommended this product by a dermatologist. It smells terrible. I wasn't sure if it was supposed to smell bad. However, I bought another bottle of it at a local drug store and it didn't smell bad at all. Not sure if this one sold on Amazon is just a bad batch. Other than the smell, it seemed to work fine.

    I remember using AmLactin years ago when I was in my twenties or thirties to get rid of keratosis pilaris (KP) on my arms. The lotion worked like a charm on my "chicken skin". So, much so I never felt the need to buy AmLactin again until menopause dried the hell out of my skin. Now, I am addicted to AmLactin!!! When you're young and still have estrogen your skin regularly sheds on its own, however when your estrogen supply starts to dry up during perimenopause then plummets during menopause (waaah!!!) your outer layer of skin stays put way too long.

    The 12% lactic acid in this lotion helps get rid of that layer leaving you with smooth skin in just a day or so. Seriously, the first night I put it on my legs, the next morning my skin was soft to the touch and it also looked much smoother to boot. Now, I have more of sheen to my skin that I haven't seen in a while. Thanks to Amlactin and vigorous workout I am determined to have the best 56 year-old legs around!

    Bonus tip: I've also used this on my face to help accelerate exfoliation. I add just enough to dampen the skin keeping it away from the corners of my eyes and mouth. A bit of AmLactin in conjunction with Retin A several nights a week, and glycolic acid pads a couple times a month makes a world of difference in my skin!
