    My Chi flat iron crapped out about a year ago so I’ve been using a babyliss (which is good for what it is imo) while looking for a replacement. I was hesitant to spend a lot of money on (yet another) hair tool that will disappoint. My hair is on the fine side and not curly so it’s not difficult to style but I’d like to keep it on my head, and there’s nothing worse than that feeling of it getting caught on and pulled out by a hot tool, and I’d like to not fry it in the process.
    I love this thing! I would have been pleased had it been $300, it’s that good. The fact that it’s under $100 is amazing.
    The plates still look brand new and I’ve been using it for several months now.
    As others have stated it heats up quickly and has a good temp range. I don’t find it heavy but to be fair I really don’t have to use it for long. One pass is all it takes for my hair, and it’s dumb shiny too. Great find.
