Well worth the investment, user friendly, easy and challenging all in one
WOW! let me start with I would have given this a 4 1/2 stars but...wanted to let you know this is a 5 star bike! My reason for 4 1/2 stars...the power attachment is on the lower left of bike is on the floor.. I have this in my garage and tripped over the power cord several times...So I used zip ties-re routed power to below seat and then used a one plug extension cord to plug in on garage ceiling...Now the bike.. I had a felt resistance bike for 5 years and that felt wore out and I decided I wanted to upgrade. So I researched and thought "Pelton" and other bikes with "attached"screens, However most bikes stated "warranty void if used in garage/or outside" as I would understand because the delicate screen..I also determined IF I had a screen issue in the future I would have a useless bike...and I also determined those bike with attached screens can ONLY be used with THEIR purchased apps... I began an in-depth research into this bike and learned you CAN access "Pelton" (I know spelled incorrect) app at a reduced price than if you bought their bike! I think 12 buck or so compared to their 39 bucks..I also learned there are several other apps that this bike can access and run...(via bluetooth with a tablet..ipad) I had an ipad and thought the delicate screen-the ipad- can be removed when not in use. and I didn't like the idea of "being locked" in to only 1 app-Pelton- only...I didn't think I would like a person "motivating" me along the way...so after weeks of thought I bought this bike.. I assembled it..pretty easy...I tried it out and it was on level "30" initially after assemble. I thought to myself "oh boy...no resistance..this is too easy.. I may have made a mistake" Remember I had a felt resistance bike prior with no readout so I did not know that "level" of resistance... So I increased the resistance and was very happy to see this went up to 100......I of course set this to level 55 and went to town....that was brutal after 20 minutes! I ride 20 miles or more on my street bike in the summer 10 days a month, I rode my felt resistance bike for 5 years 15 times a month-sometimes less- so I'm not "out of shape" thinking this was hard at level 55....so I got my ipad out went to utube and found some concerts I wanted to watch...connected my ipad to my stereo and jammed out! I have not tried any "apps" yet..but will this fall when I'm concert out..most all apps have a free trial....What I like about this bike is the looks, the sturdy feel, the spot of a tablet, the fact it is magnetic resistance......what a difference from felt resistance...the magnetic resistance is constant and consistent...I like the read out info.. I like it came with a heart monitor...that sort of took some googling to see how to connect..you start the bike in awake mode...press the bluetooth button on the bike computer and then press and hold the heart monitor button several seconds until it flash's pink..then start pedaling the bike..the heart flash's and your connected! then press and hold to shut off monitor when finished. Many reviewers stated the pedal becomes loose and starts to "click" I bought a small tube of loctite at the car parts store and assembled the pedals with that on the threads and had no issues..I bought this bike In april 2021 and I have rode 15-20 miles 3 times a week and it is still fun! I have no issues or concerns! It comes with attachments for "cleats"? shoes... I used the cage wraps....I ride in my slippers....attached garage. the only other issue....while the handle bar is shaped nice and has a weird flat spot for you hands/which you will love..is I am gong to get padded bike gloves..the handle bar is the same consistency of a sprayed in truck liner...not bad, but adding foam or bike gloves will make it perfect. And...my felt resistant bike was chain driven...I thought that was quiet..this is belt driven....it is silent... although as you can see in my pics/vid that the noise level of this bike didn't matter to me. I know there is no "one size fits all" but this met all my expectations and is a great workout for me.

Style: Schwinn IC4 Indoor Cycling BikeVerified Purchase
So I am a busy working mom and I was working out at a gym and with a personal trainer but the scheduling was just not working. I decided on a bike back in the fall and spent about 5 months researching. I was going to get the peloton but at the last minute decided on the Schwinn. It was really bugging me that I’d be tied up with only peloton content and have to pay a costly monthly fee. I was also looking at even cheaper bikes but i wanted to stick with a good brand name, and I love that it has the monitor so my husband - who doesn’t care about classes - can just hop on and ride and see his metrics without additional screens, etc. Over a week in and I am so happy with my choice! I was going to use the peloton app or apple fitness, but it turns out there’s tons of great cycle classes on YouTube for free! No need to spend extra at this point. I can also use my regular sneakers so that’s a huge plus for me too!

As far as delivery and assembly - I had it delivered the next day after I ordered. It was a huge heavy box but I was able to slide it into my garage and take everything out. I carried it in pieces to my basement and put it together with the help of a YouTube video in about an hour and a half. Mind you, I’m a 5’3” 113 lb woman. I did it all by myself. Yes it was heavy and awkward to carry myself, but I did it. It went together mostly easy, but the biggest issue was some of the smaller screws didn’t want to go in on the monitor. After messing with them for a bit I got them in.

Once I got it all set up I tested it out. It is so smooth and a quiet ride. When my husband got back in town and saw it he noted how good it looks and he can tell it’s good quality.

    So far, I love it!

I ordered "used" so the packaging was awful. But that was part of the bargain so I wasn't upset about it. Single mom budget so saving a few hundred and getting the bike I really wanted was a HUGE plus. The bike seemed brand new and all of the pieces were present. I am guessing the package was damaged at some point but the bike was still brand new. Not a speck of dust or a scratch anywhere. Original plastic packaging/bags were still in place.

I watched a YouTube vid and followed along so assembly was a breeze. Honestly, if I can do it so can you. Save yourself the $150 and assemble yourself. The bike works beautifully. On the 2nd day I noticed some squeaking in the pedals but again I just you tubed and there was a helpful video that showed you how to grease the screws in the pedals. Make sure you pay close attention when screwing in the pedals, the left one goes the opposite direction that what you think and doing it wrong could cause damage. Use a pedal wrench if you have one, but the tool that comes in the box will suffice. Make sure you screw things in very tight, but don't overdo it.

I have been riding for over a week and NO issues. Love it. Whisper quiet. A peloton would be better if you really need to have exact cadence, speed and HR on your app but there are work arounds for that. The screen on the IC4 gives you an estimate of cadence and the bike comes with a HR monitor but I just set my apple watch to indoor bike and that woks fine for me, for now. I might get a wahoo cadence monitor later.

The resistance is NOT THE SAME as the peloton, so if you are using the peloton app make sure you learn the conversion scale, otherwise you might burn out too quickly. For example, resistance 25 on Peloton is about 5 on the Schwinn.

It's beautiful and sturdy! Everything is easy to adjust. The seat is SUCH good quality for this type of bike. The pedals have cages but on the flip side there are clips if you prefer to clip in. Two water bottle holders and weights right up front. I hear if you are over 6ft your knees might hit the water bottle holders but I don't have that problem. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it.

I guess if I had to say one thing about it that I don't absolutely love. It's that the tablet holder isn't adjustable, but it's really not that much of an issue. I rigged it with a hand towel so my iPad screen was at the angle I preferred.

I wish I would have made this purchase years ago instead of wasting time stressing about finding the best deal. Having one of these at home is one of the best investments you can make.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great bike

I am so happy I chose this over the the more expensive peloton or the less expensive echelon. Although I don't have the echelon (ex 15) their price doubled over the holiday and is now almost the same price as the ic4. So why would we even consider the ex 15 anymore.

The ic4 have been great. Assembly was simple. I did it all by myself and it was easy breezy. The quality is great and it is truly silent. I read people complained about the handlebars not moving towards you enough and I agree. I wish I could pull it towards me a bit more since I'm really short but I know other bikes dont even have 4 way adjustment. The bike looks great and feels sturdy. I've ridden off the saddle and and clipped in and I feel good about it. The saddle is fine and I know people complain how it's not soft enough. Spin bike saddle is not supposed to be squishy. It should be supportive which it is and when you're doing spin classes you'd be leaning forward a little anyways. It's not supposed to be like a cruiser saddle.

There are a few things I wish were different but I think these are more so preference rather than an issue. I wish the tablet holder was more upright or adjustable. I find my tablet sits on funny angle and if it was more upright there would be less glare.
I wish the strap on the hr monitor was less scratchy. I'm only complaining becasue I have a better hr monitor to compare to. If I didn't I probably wouldn't think much about it. Lastly I actually think it better to have the weights behind the saddle rather than under the handlebars. I feel it's more natural to sit up and then pick up the weights rather than grab the weights then sit up.

Love it so far and look forward to enjoying this for years.

Realmente a melhor bike ergonometrica. Eu sou alta 1,73 e amei. O preço é alto mas considere um investimento. Bem melhor que pagar barato em uma bike sem qualidade … E ficar frustrado depois. O que me ajudou bastante foi os comentários positivos dessa bike. E foi realmente a melhor escolha!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Peloton alternative when paired with the Peloton digital app
Reviewed in Canada on January 16, 2022
Style: Schwinn IC4 Indoor Cycling BikeVerified Purchase
Very happy with the purchase of the IC4.
I was using an Echelon Sport (Walmart) for the past 12 months which for the price was fine.
The main issue was it was not that tough at its at its highest resistance.
Was waiting for this to go sale and purchased it on sale - Black Friday.

I use the with the Peloton Digital app (not needed but highly recommended)

    PROS:
    - almost silent
    - included Bluetooth heart rate arm strap works great (matches the Heart Rate of my Apple Watch)
and pairs seamlessly with the Peloton app.
    - In the Peloton app you can connect to the Bike for cadence - so both
Cadence and Heart Rate are displayed in the Peloton app.
    - Can use it with an iPad or iPhone on the bike mount or I use the Peloton app on Fire TV.
NOTE: You cannot connect the BIKE or your Heart Rate via Bluetooth to the Peloton app on your Fire TV.
BUT... if needed you can start the Peloton app on your phone/iPad and mirror to your Fire TV.
Look up "ApowerMirror-Screen Mirroring for TV" in the Fire Tv app store.
or have the same Session playing on your iPad/iPhone (which will display Cadence and Heart Rate)
mounted on your bike but also playing the same class at the same time on your Fire TV app
assuming you have a TV with Fire Tv in the same room.

    - Seat can be adjusted up, down , back, forward
    - Handlebars can be adjusted up, down, forward, back
    - At the highest resistance - 100 - still offers tough resistance when standing.

    CONS (small):
    - assembly not fast - read the instructions or look up on Youtube. But all fine was assembly was complete.
    - as other have mentioned position of water bottle holders is odd. I just don't use them.
    - Seat is not the most comfortable but its fine.
    - resistance from 0-25 feels like nothing - the lowest resistance I start with is about 30.
With Peloton app I'll either match the resistance call outs or add 5-10
ex. Peloton instructor call for 50 resistance I'll set resistance between 50-60 etc.
    - red wheels used to move the bikes location are plastic. not the rubberized versions you see on other bikes. but once your bike is in place its fine.
    - Cadence readout on the Bike display is not digital. Its a incremental gauge and you more or less guess
your cadence is between a range . But if using with the Peloton app not an issue once paired - as the cadence is displayed in the app.
