You can finally have your dream killer workout right in the comfort of your own home without breaking the bank. Our elliptical is the perfect piece of cardio equipment for your home gym. This is the perfect routine for both very fit people and those who are just beginning their fitness journey. Ellipticals can be easier on the joints than other workouts, including walking, so this is ideal for older folks and those who experience knee and joint pain. Bodies in motion stay in motion. In It For The Long Run

- Reviewed in the United States on February 17, 2015This arrived today (as expected).
Assembly was NOT fun.
I got on it for a 30 minute workout for the first time.
I DO feel like I got a pretty good workout.
Now, I'm a runner, and was running 40 miles/week until a couple of weeks ago when I had a seizure and was diagnosed with a brain tumor.
They don't want me out running and have a seizure 5 miles from home in the woods (understandable), but I'm not going to give up keeping in shape, so, this seems like it will help. I'm 5'7" and 140 lbs, wear a size 8 shoe. I would say someone with a foot much larger (say size 11 or bigger) would find the pedals small. Also someone considerably taller would find this a bit small.
Resistance is good. The machine rocks a little bit side to side while I was working on it..
I don't understand the data from the display thingy.
It says that in 30min08sec I traveled 5.5 miles. This would mean moving at 5:32 min/mile, when my average training pace is about 08:30 min/mile. I haven't run a 5:30 mile since college days, and I sure don't feel like I was moving that fast today. It would be more normal for me to run about 3.5 to 4 miles in that time frame at the effort level I felt I was working. Also it says I burned only 109.4 calories, whereas, at 140 lbs, in 5.5 miles I would burn 583 calories. Even at the 3.5 to 4 miles I would normally run in 30 minutes, I would burn 380 to 420 calories.
So the computer data makes no sense to me at all.
Still, this will give me a means to keep in shape while I go through radiation therapy, in the safety of my home (and with all the snow and sub-0 temps, that's good).
--- EDIT ---
I've had this now for 4 months, and while the weather is now good for running outdoors, and the radiation is done, so docs have released me to run again, but, I still use it occasionally for cross-training and on days with inclement weather.
I'm making more sense of the data. In an average workout, I exercise for 30 minutes, complete c. 6 miles, and burn c. 1200 calories.
I have to say that I am quite pleased with it.
---------- UPDATE ----------
October, and still using this machine when weather is poor for outdoor activities, or time limits my workouts, etc.
I expect I'll spend a lot of time with it over the coming winter.
At this point, I've spent over 15 hours on it, completed over 500 miles, and burnt over 90k calories (according to the machine's computer).
Machine stands up to a beating, gives me a good workout.
I feel like this was a very worthwhile investment.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 30, 2017I just assembled this today - by myself, thankyouverymuch, in about an hour. The instructions are very clear and specific, and easier to follow than I expected. Just make sure to actually read them closely (I fought with one of the bolts for a full ten minutes before realizing that this was the only one they instructed you to turn counter-clockwise. Whoops.). All in all, very straightforward. All the parts and tools were there.
It works perfectly and is fully functional and slightly better than I expected, given the very inexpensive price. I thought it would be flimsier, but am happily surprised to find that it seems more sturdy than I thought.
Unfortunately, the resistance range is pretty minimal from what I can tell so far. I'll look for ways to increase the resistance manually. It does adjust somewhat, so it will do the job. You can also go both forward and in reverse, which is fab.
As other reviews states, the incline downward is indeed steep. It was disconcerting when I first stepped on, but I adjusted to it quickly and don't think it's going to be a problem. Rather, it should be good for the buns. Some might find it to be too much and want to elevate the front somehow.
The monitor comes with batteries, which is nice. It shows distance, speed, time and calories. However, there is no way to program with your individual weight, so the caloric count is going to be off (usually they are calibrated to someone weighing around 170). So don't look to this for an accurate count.
It's not a noisy machine at all, but after a couple of minutes one of the foot pedals started squeaking. I believe it's just because I need to tighten one of the screws a bit more, which I imagine I'll have to do from time to time anyway.
Keep the WD40 on hand for assembly and for any squeaky parts that might start complaining. Since the moving parts are all put together with nuts and bolts, I'm sure it's to be expected, especially with regular use.
All in all, I am very happy with this! It's not the most advanced or heavy duty workout machine, but you cannot beat it for the price. It will do its job just fine and I feel confident in its manufacturing. Really looking forward to breaking up my work-at-home sedentary routine and getting my blood flowing again.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2013This elliptical is fantastic. It doesn't provide a stride length that compares with the higher-end ellipticals (this one has about a 12" stride, whereas most ellipticals provide an 18-22" stride), but it still gives you a great workout. The assembly was pretty straightforward and took me about an hour. I would recommend greasing all of the joints during assembly, or it will start to creak and groan after a couple uses, but as long as you grease it (I used the cheapest lithium grease I could get), it works great. I weighed 183 and my wife was 235 when we got this, but it handles our weights just fine. We've been using it 20-40 minutes a day, and I've lost 4 lbs (and dropped from a 36" waist to 34") since purchase (about a month), and my wife has lost 7 lbs. We recently (last week) purchased a much higher-end elliptical at a garage sale, expecting that it would be significantly nicer, but have found that we actually prefer this one. This elliptical also has the unique advantage of being very small, light, and portable. It fits into the corner of the room nicely, and can be easily moved. When you compare the price with a couple months of gym membership, (not to mention the convenience of having the gym in your own house), there's simply no good reason to chose anything else.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good cheap sweat
Not fun to assemble, instructions were useless, but for the cost it's a good workout. The machine is a little flimsy, it rocks back and forth when I'm on it. I suspect that it will need to be tightened frequently. I'm hoping that it will tide me over until it's safe to go back to the gym. It's a challenging workout and I am just glad to be getting exercise again. For $300ish bucks it's so worth it.
