    This machine makes great coffee - absolute plus. BUT After out last Nespresso Verturo machine eventually died, we bought this one quickly and it was delivered promptly next day. Unpacked it and thought, what were their designers thinking when this one came off the drawing board! In an era when bench space is SO important why design a machine that is as long as my forearm and only a hand width high?? As a result the storage tank is also tiny - half the height of the previous coffee maker. Now try and get a normal cup under the spout. As long as you only drink espressos all good....but a normal kitchen cup. No go - so you end up talking off the drip tray and then it drips on the counter top. It may look good on the add..... but look at sizes before you buy this model.

    BEWARE…I ordered this before Christmas and never opened the box it was shipped in. I received one for Christmas so my husband slapped a return label on this and sent it back to Target.com. I just received an email saying the item was used and so I cannot get a refund. They will not send my item back and no refund. So I spent $145 and have nothing to show for it!!!!

    I loved my machine while it lasted however after only owning it for 2.5 years it randomly quit one morning. The machine would no longer read the barcodes even with all the recommended actions from nespresso themselves. Sad that you can only get a few years out of these machines and thats it.

I have had 3 of these in the last 4 years and the third one just broke down today with the same blinking orange light issue (factory reset, cleaning and descaling didn't fix the issue either!)     Do not buy this machine! I have had it replaced 3 times within 10 months and now have only 2 months warranty left which means when the replacement brakes they won’t replace it. I have wasted so much money on pods that didn’t work and so much of my time having to return the broken machine each time. Not to mention not being able to have my morning coffee. Very disappointed!

    Just got the white Vertuo next yesterday! So far my house smells amazing. My only complaint and a fault of my own I wish I would have paid more attention to the dimensions. The next is narrow but very long I can’t seem to find a spot anywhere in my kitchen that it will fit nicely. I wish I would have chosen the flat or round head instead for a more square footprint to fit better on the counter as the water reservoir doesn’t seem to be at the back of those which also makes it difficult to get to on the next. This morning while trying to get the very thick stiff power cord out to plug it in it knocked off the water reservoir lid and it sank all the way to the bottom of the water tank. Just personal preference as I have zero experience with Nespresso machines so I’m still learning but if I had to do it again I would choose differently.

    It stopped working after 5 days of owning it. I would not recommend a Vertuo Next. Buy a nicer model or just don’t buy one at all. Very frustrating to spend the money on what you would think is nice and have it stop working after 5 days.

    Box arrived horribly damaged, I returned for replacement, they denied the return (probably because of how the box looked—same way I received it) and kept my damaged product AND my money and there’s nothing I apparently can do about it. I’ve been fighting for at least my refund to no success. Horrible customer service.

    My husband purchased this thing about 6 weeks ago. It worked ok for 5 weeks and now is completely dead. It worked one day and not the next. The button doesn't light up at all. The manual says that if the light isn't on, the machine isn't on. Really? No **** Sherlock. No explanation as to why it isn't on. I plugged it in to various outlets, made sure it was locked properly, the water jug was full and attached properly, tried different pods (wasted 3 expensive limited edition ones) and nothing. It is going in the garbage. I read some negative reviews by people who had their's die in 6 months to a year. They were lucky. Mine didn't even last 2 months!! Inferior product. The 2 or 3 cups I got out of it didn't even taste that great anyway. The flavoured ones didn't actually have a flavour. They just tasted like burnt regular coffee. Will never buy another nespresso product. 0 stars for me on this thing.

    The machine is great, until you need to descale it. I had nothing but issues with descaling this thing. It does not program back to coffee making mode and becomes garbage. I did have it covered under warranty at one point, and it was fixed, lasted another year after the fix and would not get out of descaling mode. Not the only person with this issue, do research before purchasing this is a major issue with these machines. Ended up purchasing a round head nespresso instead.

    Stopped working after 3 months

    Absolute trash machine. I was stoked when I bought this as a gift for my husband for Christmas last year. After 3 months of use it stopped working with absolutely no recourse for a return. Also, the pods are outrageously priced for mediocre coffee. Save your money and disappointment and buy a quality machine.
