A: I have found that is not the case, with other Ninja blenders. I have interchaged the cups/jars. I do not know if that is true with this unit, but I have a similar unit with cups that I bought directly from Ninja. That base fits with other (older) cups.

Finally used it and the lid is the worst thing to try and fit. It won’t blend without the lid properly locked on but it’s impossible to lock it on. I would not recommend they are soooo freaking expensive but the biggest hassle to work with.

We previously had a version of this blender from 2014, and replaced it with this one. There was buildup of food debris and mold in the handle, which we had to search how to remove it all. It is starting again, and is gross. Disappointed and perplexed at the good reviews here.

Opened the packaging and found 2 small cracks from the center to opposite corners. Returned and opened the second on to find the same issue, only even worse as the cracks went up the sides. These cracks could be easily overlooked and leading to bigger problems.

I'm a mechanical engineer and could not figure out all the mechanisms of this blender. The lid has to be at a certain orientation on the pitcher to lock. The lid handle won't fold down UNLESS it is on the pitcher. Getting it to lock on the base was a pain and extremely confusing. Not to mention the plastic is extremely fragile so if you use too much pressure you end up damaging it.

The giant blade(s) are not attached to anything when you open the box and take the blender container out. It is loosely just sitting in the container with no cover and just falls out. Extremely unsafe and irresponsible packaging.

I have been in the market for a new blender to make my smoothies with no luck. I've wasted money on a couple different non name brand blenders that promised one thing and delivered another to the extent of not even crushing ice. I followed the directions and added my liquid ingredients first to make my delicious smoothie then added my frozen ingredients in and off we go, I am so pleased with this product. Although it's not my dream blender which would be a Vitamix, this most definitely gets the job done. I would highly recommend buying this blender. I thought that the pitcher being plastic instead of glass would feel flimsy and weak but it actually feels very sturdy, also easy to clean. This was my first time using the blender so hopefully it will continue to be the best blender I've ever owned. I did purchase the protection plan.

Since I turned the cup opposite direction the cup got stuck and locked up. Therefore, we used forced and a piece broke off from the bottom. Blender does NOT work anymore. I need to replace cup, but it’s the same price as purchasing a new one. I called 800 and call does not go thru.

Loved it and used many times for smoothies and soups until I noticed the bottom of the blender collects food after going in the dishwasher, which is impossible to clean out and is disgusting. It doesn’t affect the inside of the blender, but it’s still gross and I’m getting rid of it, which is so disappointing because it’s not that old.

Purchased 07/24 about 4 months later the entire pitcher has spiderweb cracks. Never put in the dishwasher. Always hand washed and air dried. Use to make salsa and drinks. Never even put ice in it.
