I’m a well rounded 14/16 and chose the XL. The fabric itself is shaped and a tiny bit clingy as expected ( see my photo, clearly shows the muffin top but such is life!). Sleeve length is excellent ... I’m 5’9” with longer arms. As noted by someone else the neck is more of a funnel but not horribly tight... fabric has ‘give’ in all directions. Printed tag, nothing scratchy. I’ll probably layer in winter, maybe wear alone in late fall since it’s not too heavy.

    I'm not one to write reviews but I cannot speak highly enough of this purchase! I bought the heather grey one first and loved it so much, I ordered the Navy (which does look black as others pointed out). The material is soft and well made. I love the drop sleeves since I am really tall (5'11") and am broad-shouldered. I ordered a medium because I'm fairly athletic and prefer my turtle necks to fit my arms snug. That said, the sizing was perfect. Definitely order a size up if you like a looser fit though. Seriously, these shirts look and hold up better than turtlenecks I've bought from Gap and Anthropologie.

    Just bought this shirt, so I've only worn it once. I can definitely say, it's SO SOFT! The fabric is somewhat thin & very slinky, great for layering & feels wonderful against my sensitive skin.

    I'm 5' 6" tall & about 150lbs, curvy & busty. In this brand, I've found I would normally wear a L (which fits a bit loose, not clingy on my torso), but since I'm busty, I have to go up a size (to avoid showing off my bra through the fabric). I ordered this shirt in an XXL since, for whatever reason, it was a few bucks less than the XL & I wanted a roomy, drapy fit anyhow. I sure got what I expected! It fits me like a boyfriend shirt, loose, very roomy, very long sleeves nearly covering my hands & the funnel neckline fit nice & loose but still maintained it's shape/style. For the fit I wanted, I'm glad I opted for the XXL, plus, being part rayon, it shrank a bit in the wash. I wore it layered, under a roomy, drapy sweater & leggings on a recent chilly autumn day & I was super comfy : ) It reminded me of silk knits, soft & thin, but maintained a comfortable level of body heat, not hot & sweaty, like thin poly blends.

    Specifics on the shirt, material, fit: I really like this style. Average turtle necks feel like they choke me, so I prefer funnel necks or mock turtle necks. This shirt definitely has a fantastic vintage look (as does their boatneck style shirt), very beatnik! The material is super soft & smooth, somewhat thin rayon/spandex (I think?), which layers great. Be sure to follow washing instructions since it could easily shrink, due to the rayon. It is somewhat see-through if it fits snug & also easily clings to any extra lumps or bumps, so, if you want a slightly more loose & forgiving fit, go a size up.

    I also bought the boatneck style shirt by this same company, in an XL & I really like the vintage/retro look & style. Again, I had to go a size up, so it wasn't snug around my bust, otherwise I would fit a L.

    Glad I bought this funnel neck shirt, even in the XXL, which is admittedly, too big for me, but that's what I wanted & expected anyhow~ As mentioned, this is the second shirt by them I've bought, & if they have other styles I like, I'll gladly buy more.

    I purchased the Navy in XL and Grey in XXL. Approximate measurements - Navy XL: underarm to underarm 21.5", front shoulder to hem 26", back shoulder to hem 28". The Grey XXL was one inch wider in the chest but the rest of the measurements were the same. The fabric is a very soft rayon spandex blend which drapes really nicely but can be clingy if the top is more fitted. The material is thin but not sheer at all, I tried both on with a bright yellow bra which couldn't be seen through the fabric. The style is cut like a drop shoulder where the sleeve seam is around the bicep but it's cut up under the armpit so it doesn't create the batwing shape. Both the back and front hem are curved and have a slight high low style. Like another reviewer commented, the Navy basically looks black. In the house and with natural light to me it looks black, not slightly Navy but solid black. Overall it's a well made top and for the price I paid, less than $4 each with free Prime shipping, I consider them a bargain. I'd definitely recommend purchasing but suggest ordering up a size if you want a more relaxed fit.
