About this item
- Become Your Own Tattoo Artist: The Fine Marker is perfect for intricate designs and adding detail to any tattoo. The Medium Marker is the multipurpose tool for everything in between. Grab the duo for maximum versatility!
- Easy to Use: Whether you're a pro artist, an avid doodler, or something in between, drawing your own designs has never been easier. Make your mark thick, thin, detailed or bold; this temporary tattoo marker is designed to make your dream ink come to life. Prep skin - clean and dry, then start drawing! Let sit for an hour. Your tattoo will darken in 24-48 hours.
- Skin Deep, But Not Too Deep: Inkbox tattoos are made with For Now Ink, which is long-lasting tech that sets Inkbox apart from the temporary tattoos you knew as a kid. Unlike most fake or temporary tattoos, Inkbox works because it sits in your skin, not on top of it.
- Lasts Longer Than Most Temporary Tattoos: While most temporary tattoos only last a few days, Inkbox lasts up to 1-2 weeks and is water-resistant. You can shower, sweat, and go about your day. Just avoid scrubbing, and you’re good to go. Tattoo color will be different on everyone and your tattoo gradually fades as your skin naturally exfoliates and regenerates.
- Cruelty Free and Safety Tested: Inkbox is made from a cruelty free formula and is safety tested! Caution: For external use only. Do not apply anywhere on the face. Do not apply to neck, upper chest, intimate areas, or irritated or damaged skin.

If it came with a double sided tattoo pen like the stencil pen, it would be worth it.

If you are familiar with henna it works in a similar way. The black henna seems to be stronger than the brown one giving some people an allergic reaction which reminds me of this INKBOX product.
2nd, if you are not creatively inclined this marker/gel will be a challenge for you to get clean lines. If you are creatively inclined and only have experience with drawing on hard surfaces this will also be a challenge. Working with marker on skin is different. It takes some practice. If you want to get thin lines you have to apply less pressure with a steady hand, only using the tip. If you want heavy lines apply more pressure.
The bulb/squeeze bottle is similar to working with a piping bag for cakes (like someone mentioned in tjeor review on here) or using a henna cone. I have yet to try this method but will update my review when I get around to using this.
As far as the curing time and development time for the marker you have to follow directions. I did not. Lol. You must put the development patch in order for it to not smudge. I didn't want to cut up one of the patches to put on my fingers in case I decided to to a big design and needed the bigger patch. I thought I could get away with it by letting it dry. I gave it about 1.5hrs. It was dry to the touch but not completely because it transfered to my other parts of my skin when I went to bed. I'm assuming it was from the moisture.
The ink is pretty opaque. I did finger tattoos and washed my hands/do the dishes frequently. These are day 3 photos and it's still pretty dark as the day I first did them. The one on my wrist faded because I had my watch over it and went to the gym the next day.
If you are looking to do this for fun I would 100% recommend this. If you are not artistically inclined and are thinking to use this as a trial to confirm your commitment for a real tattoo find someone who is artsy to draw your design (or use a stencil or us a red pen to sketch out your design) I would practice manipulating a random marker of similar tip to get the straight/thin edges on a peice a paper so you know what to expect.
Can this pass off as a real tattoo? Not when you 1st apply it (referring to the marker) but it looks like as it fades it might be able to pass otherwise it looks like a sharpie. Nonetheless it's fun to do and fun to try out.
My #1 tip. Always try a patch test for anything being applied to the skin. It doesn't matter if it says non-comidgenic/plant based/natural.
