I like that it's a nice weight - it's not cheap crinkly plastic. It isn't lined so for me this is a winter raincoat that will be worn over a doggy sweater for warmth. I have a 6 pound Chihuahua. I ordered the small and it fits perfectly. The hood is a little bit long but I just fold it back a bit. I like the under the neck collar to keep her legs dry when walking through grass. It isn't too long for her. I like the reflective stripes on the stomach fastener. We don't walk at night but sometimes it's gray and cloudy during the day time so the reflective quality is nice.

Very cute idea but seems to run a bit small.
Just got this, the options for sizes available were medium and large when I ordered it. I went with the large. My dog is a beagle mix, she is about 16" tall at the shoulders and weighs about 35 pounds. This is too small for her. If I try to pull the hood up her butt is exposed. Even pulled up the hood seems like it should be a little wider. That said, I think it's cute and it will keep her mostly dry, even though I'll probably have most of her head exposed. It's the body part she shakes when we get home that sprays the water all over the place!Anyway, for those interested in exact sizes here's the size chart:Measure your dog from the base of the neck to the base of the tail.XX Small - 6"-8"X Small - 8"-10"Small - 10"-14"Medium - 14"-19"Large - 19"-24"X Large - 24"-29"XX Large - 29"-34"My dog is 21" from the base of the neck to the base of the tail and I got her the large so it should have fit but, like I said, if I want the hood on her I have to pull it up and it uncovers most of her bum. I think the hood up will still keep some of her head dry though. Will try and upload a couple of pictures of Jessie in her raincoat.

I got these raincoats for my Australian shepherds after a canoe trip where they were forced to endure pouring rain while I was snug in my rain suit. They’re just what I wanted. Excellent coverage. The wide “wings” in front provide extra protection when they’re sitting, like they will be in the canoe. The hoods tend to slip over their faces when they’re walking but that’s easily fixable by rolling the edge back, or I could add a Velcro tab at the back like on my parka hood. On the thinner dog the coat sometimes slides a little to one side, but it’s better if I tighten the belly band and would not happen if a leash was attached through the neck opening. If you’re wondering what size to get, I’d advise leaning toward larger. According to the instructions, a large should have been ok for my dogs, which have a 21-inch back length and weigh 40 lbs. But I decided to go with XL just to be safe and I’m glad I did. The XL gives them great coverage and looks just fine. The construction is very nice and the fabric has a good substantial feel, not flimsy or crinkly. I can’t speak to durability as I just got them, but I’ll update if they turn out to be less durable than anticipated.

First, as everyone else has said, the sizing is very misleading. I have a 40 pound husky (so lots of fur) and I purchased the Large. It is very tight on her, I probably would have been better off with an X-Large. The part that wraps around the front of the dog and velcro's under her chin barely reaches. The hood does not even begin to fit on her head, however, I think this is a design flaw as the body to hood ratio seems to be way off. It's not so much the actual hood that doesn't fit her as it is the complete lack of any material to cover her neck so that the hood could actually reach her head. The other con of this raincoat is the velcro front. Most dogs don't really like to have something wrapped around them and therefore then tend to shake their bodies to get it off. The more they shake the looser the raincoat gets and the velcro starts to peel apart. On our first walk the velcro on the front almost came entirely off, and would have if I hadn't stopped to stick it back together.
OK for what it is. Needs some adjustments though.

Having said all of that however, the material is wonderful and I was surprised at how much rain and dirt was all over the raincoat when we finished our walk and I was grateful that it was not all over my husky, and then all over my house. It is pretty easy to get on. I did not have any issues with the leash hole, that worked fine. It's a good product that just needs some adjustments. Would I recommend? .....I'd probably recommend looking for something else that doesn't velcro and where the hood at least has the potential to fit, even if you know your dog would never wear it. I feel like this is a product that you would settle for if there was nothing better out there. Does the job, but not to the highest standards.
