    This shoe is SO COMFORTABLE and it's perfect for my picky 8 yr. old daughter with Autism who wears a size 13.5. The back of the shoe (back side as well) has a thick padding which will prevent heel blisters. If your child has an extra wide foot like mine... these are the shoes that you should be getting. My daughter's foot just slipped in easily. Since there is no in-between sizes (13.5), I thought it would be safe to get her a size 1 instead. Her foot measures almost 8 inches and the size 1 has about an inch gap... which is fine since she can wear them when her foot grows bigger. I just reordered for a size 13. They might be either just right or slightly bigger which is good. If your child is in-between sizes like my own kid, I would order a half size down.
