- Reviewed in the United States on September 8, 2013So after my 2nd child, and an 'advanced maternal age', my former super long lashes went the way of the 20's "I can eat anything I want metabolism'. I tried everything and even lost them all on one eye after my daughter was born. Love hormones! So getting them back in was an uphill battle. Started using Latisse and still wasn't seeing a Huge difference. My Dermatologist said that I absolutely HAD to give up the eyelash curler because it was pulling out all my new frail lashes. I didn't understand the point of have lashes if I couldn't curl my super stick straight whispies. Did my research and heated curlers are definitely not loved across the board. This one had the best reviews out of them ALL, believe me I checked every single one. After about a month of using this (and not pulling them out every morning), sure enough they all FINALLY filled in and the Latisse was able to do the rest. Almost daily, (I swear) I am complimented on the crazy length and curl. Here's my best suggestion: curl before & after mascara application!! I was hesitant to do this because I didn't want it to get all goopy and dirty. Didn't happen. I do it a bit longer than the recommended 5-10 seconds each section (prob 20 secs for 3 sections per eye). Apply 2 coats, let them dry (the time it takes me to apply mascara to bottom lashes and put away make up) & repeat the curl not the xtra mascara. YES, it takes a bit longer than the old routine but ABSOLUTELY worth every extra minute to have my lashes back & I have 2 little ones mind you! Curl stays all day! Good luck, sorry you had to read the whole novel to learn I LOVE THIS!!!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 11, 2021I have long but difficult to curl eyelashes and this does not work for me. I found that using it after mascara application ruins my eye makeup because my eyes water. But when I start with mascara first before the rest of my eye makeup, I end up with fallout from my shadow ending up on my mascara. I gave it a try because hoping it would be gentler in my eyelashes but I’ll stick with my Shiseido curler.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 14, 2019Short but sweet review. Did it curl? Sorta. Eyelash curler does much better. Battery life-SUCKS. I've used this maybe 5 times and have went through the original batteries and a Duracell one. Life of the curler--SUCKS. The thing is falling apart after sitting in my makeup bag and I've only had it for 3 weeks now. Is it better than nothing. Sure. Is it better than an eyelash curler. NO
- Reviewed in the United States on February 27, 2019I've always used those ubiquitous metal eyelash curlers and have always been disappointed with how often I had to change out the rubber strips and how awkward they are to pack for travel. Plus, they never really did a very good job. So, searching for alternate eyelash curlers and after a few trials, I finally decided to give a heated eyelash curler a go. I use it in conjunction with the MUJI Portable Eyelash Curler and am very happy with the results.
I have Asian eyes with epicanthic fold (you can look that up if you are unfamiliar with that term) and this curler combination works extremely well for me. I first curl my lashes with the MUJI Curler then use a light coat of mascara and curl/lift again where needed (usually the inner corners of my eyelids) with the Chella Heated Eyelash Curler. The curl lasts all day and my eyelashes lift up and out from under my eyelids. Been using daily since I purchased the Chella in August 2014 and no signs of needing to change the rubber strip on the MUJI yet.
Added bonus to me: 1) Both eyelash curlers are very easy to take in my cosmetic bag for travel. They take up very little space and aren't at all awkward to pack like those metal curlers are.
Downsides: 1) I need to change the AAA battery in the Chella Heated Curler at least every 14 days or so and sometimes more often than that. Subtracted one star for this issue. 2) My first Chella gave up the ghost this week so I have to order another—which I will gladly do! It did last 4-1/2 years, so I think it is well worth the cost.
I highly recommend this product.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 9, 2014I own two other heated eyelash curlers, their good but one has too big of a comb and the lashes some times touches the heat and and sometime not...and the other one is also good but the comb has a curve to it and if I touch to the corner of my lashes the other part is away from the base of my lid...This one is straight and thin so it touches all my lashes just like I wanted ...I have only had all of these for a couple of weeks and this one I received yesterday only used it twice so not sure how long they will last, I agree with the others the battery life sticks luckily I have a battery charger so every time I use them I recharge them... and also another tid bit of info take the battery out after ever use that also help.. My only complaint so far with this one is It's so slender it doesn't have anything to grasp to take a part because it not to easy to separate to take the battery out and it hard to take the battery out too... All in all it's going to be a learning process but a good one because so far I love the heated version way more than the clamping type with does nothing but pull my lashes out...And I already have short stubby straight fine lashes to begin with....

1.0 out of 5 stars PÉSIMO
Pésima producto, se descompuso a la semana, me parece que es una especie de falso contacto y por ello no calienta. No lo recomiendo para nada

5.0 out of 5 stars Recommend
My eyelashes love this. They are actually longer as the normal curler must have been snapping my eyelashes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good alternative
I was a bit skeptical when I purchased this by the reviews I saw on google. I have to admit, its better than the original lash curler since you dont pluk your eyelashes and you can curl the corner and inner eyelashes better. Its not a dramatic change, however I personally curl the lashes with this heated device and than apply mascara. It looks great. I recommend as a better alternative than the regular lash curler

1.0 out of 5 stars Never Again
I bought a Chella eyelash curler on this site that looks exactly like this one, except for the colour...(and, the word "recourbe" is spelled with the "r")....I will never buy one of their products again. The top won't stay on, the "on/off" switch needs to be held in place with tape, the light never hits the yellow colour they refer to, I have to shake it so the green light will stay on, it never becomes hot enough to curl the lashes (probably since the light won't stay on) the batteries (yes, I've changed them a few times with high-quality ones) don't last...WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!
