Wow, this is a nice sized serving bowl! When not in use for serving, it would make a great fruit bowl or table centerpiece. I love the simple clean lines of this classic Fitz and Floyd Everyday White piece. Timeless and elegant, this simple white dish really highlights your food. There is no pattern or raised detail to interfere with the design, which also makes it easy to clean. I have used this bowl in the microwave to cook rice in and also in the oven to keep food warm until serving. The porcelain is slippery, if you are used to a heavy pottery or textured stoneware, be mindful that this bowl is quite slippery when wet, plus with its large size and hefty weight, it's kinda cumbersome in the sink. I have come close to dropping it a few times while hand washing. It is of course dishwasher safe, but for large items like this I will typically hand wash. This is easy to clean, nothing sticks to it, even melted cheese or starchy potatoes slide right off. All in all, this is a beautiful serving bowl that will never go out of style and will last many years provided you do not break it! I also love that there are many other completer pieces that go with this simple classic set, but with it being so clean and simple, you should not have a problem matching any white porcelain pieces to this set. I am very happy and intend to add to my collection, currently I have this bowl and a set of service for 4 in the classic rim Everyday White and I love all the pieces!
