I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this integrated dog water bottle/bowl. This dog bottle basically breaks down into four parts: The bottle, trough, filter, and filter housing. Cleaning the bottle after every use is easy. The bottle and filter housing parts are advertised as dishwasher safe, but I find it easier to just hand wash all four parts together in the sink.
Initially I was confused about the filtration system design before ordering (what is it for and what does it do), as the description does not explain it well. The carbon filter is strictly to neutralize flavors - it will NOT kill bacteria - meaning you must fill this with potable water. This is not intended to be filled with water from random sources (i.e. a river) with the intention the filter will remove harmful bacteria, because it won't. I feel like the description/instructions need to clarify this, as it was not so obvious to me at first (coming from someone who hikes and uses water filters to purify water).
The vibrant colors and design of my unit have a very cool 90s Nickelodeon vibe to them. The silicone overmolding gives the dog bottle a nice tactile feel in the hands. The design is pretty clever because it prevents excessive waste when you hold it at an angle and dispense it on-the-go. This bottle/bowl can be laid down on the ground, however I will say it can be easily tipped over by large dogs (especially on a surface that is not perfectly flat like grass).
This unit is surprisingly compact, about the same dimensions as a typical sports water bottle. This will fit into a standard water bottle pocket on a backpack, cupholder, or in the bottle cage of a bicycle, as it's similar dimensionally. I was skeptical of the 15 ounce capacity being enough water for my 100lbs Labrador, but it is an adequate amount for shorter walks or play sessions because the dispensing trough design allows you to not have much waste.
The filter is supposedly good for three months, however if you are not pouring the used water back into the bottle, I would anticipate you being able to get more time out if it. If you never pour the used water back in, you could probably also use this without the filter/filter housing altogether.
The price seems high at first glance, but considering the going rate for reusable bottles/tumblers for humans is also high these days, I actually think the price is fair because its a specific product that does one job very well. Replacement filter elements are reasonably priced considering how long they last, however whether or not they will still be available in due time remains to be seen.
Overall I do like this dog water bottle and have found it quite useful to carry on walks or play sessions. I also think this is a very giftable product and wouldn't be surprised if we see it more often.

This things is so cute and great honestly. I have quite a few of travel cups because I have a service dog that is always out when I am. She needs water on the go! The other ones are a pain for me to get crushed ice from the ice machine in. This one is super easy. It’s compact, comes apart for easy cleaning, and has bright beautiful colors. It’s very easy to deploy for your pup to sip and you can easily collect back the unused water so it doesn’t make a mess. It’s also by a small local business and that’s a plus. I looked on their website because I was curious about the carbon replacements. How much they were and how easily attainable. They are about $10 for two and you can get them on prime also for the same price and free shipping. But to be honest I don’t know how much then would help as it just sits in the water. I don’t use it and simply leave it out. I only give my pup filtered water anyway so I don’t really have a use for that feature. Plus more room for water and ice! Regardless of filtering capabilities it is an awesome travel cup that cleans easy and can be held by one finger using the strap.

The Lil Gulp Dog Water Bottle by Little Chonk is a thoughtfully designed hydration solution for dog owners who spend time outdoors with their pets. The build feels solid, and the 15 oz Ecozen bottle is a good size for short to moderate outings. It’s compact enough for a hiking pack or car cup holder and includes a simple carry handle. The bottle design has been genuinely leak-proof so far, which is important when tossing it into a bag or backpack.
The retractable water spout and trough are practical, most of the unused water flows back into the bottle, helping reduce waste. The trough is made from quick-dry silicone, but it does need to be washed by hand. That said, most other parts, including the bottle and filter cradle, are dishwasher safe, which makes cleaning easier overall. The filter should be replaced every 3-6 months if you are using the bottle heavily in non-filtered water sources with high sediment or contaminants, I think the filter will last on the longer side if you are filling from a pre-filtered water source like your fridge at home.
In summary the Lil Gulp water bottle is a well-made and convenient hydration tool for dogs on the go. It’s easy to use, filters water effectively, and helps reduce waste thanks to its smart spout design. Great for hikes, travel, and everyday use with minimal hassle.
