Pillow had an unpleasant smell right out of the packaging. It was subtle, and somewhat gamey or like unclean person odor. I tried fluffing it in the dryer, as well as with dryer sheets, which only slightly masked the smell. I slept on the pillow for a week and its very comfortable, but the smell started to get stronger. I tried washing the pillow following B&B's instructions - the pillow turned yellow and the smell got worse and worse the more the pillow got close to being dry. Unfortunately I had cut the tags so I can't return it. Horrified that I threw $200 down the drain and had to throw the pillow out. It smells like feces/barnyard (like other reviewers have said).

A few months prior I had bought the same pillow in firm fill directly from B&B and its a great pillow, just too firm for me. I'm going to try buying directly from B&B since the first pillow I purchased from them was just fine. Maybe they send the rejects/defects to amazon warehouses??

I have not tried down-feather hybrid pillows in years. After struggling with memory foam pillows over the last several years, I thought I would try this pillow. I am 5’10 and fairly broad shouldered male. Pure side sleeper. So, I bought the firm. There is nothing firm about it. No loft whatsoever. No support. I had so much mor supportive down pillows two decades ago when down was my go to. They just don’t make down pillows for people like me anymore. On a positive note, the pillow is beautifully made and had no fowl/foul smell like some reviewers experienced. The organic cotton cover is awesome. But, returning and giving up on down because of lack of lift and support.
