This griddle is awesome. Looks great too (we got the "flame" color...orange). So much so it has a permanent home on the top of our stove. It heats up nice and evenly (cast iron) and is very easy to clean. We use it regularly for anything that won't splatter a ton of fat. It's smallish, so be aware of that, but enough surface for cooking a many different foods. As with all Le Creuset products it's pricey but well made. Are there cheaper options to get the same result. Of course there are, but this is a splurge for the kitchen and we love it!

Cooking with Cast Iron
Cast iron can be used reliably on any heat source, including induction, and with any oven or grill. It has the ability to retain heat efficiently, which allows for use of lower heat settings in stovetop and oven cooking.
