    My job requires a high-speed stable Internet and Orbi 972 was able to provide me with all what I am aiming for. Also, I have been able to connect more devices and use my 8K TV. Using the parental control I have been able to manage the time for my kids and reward them for their achievements.Interestingly, using this device, I have been able to get all the speed of my Internet connection to my garden room without any signal loss ( about 50 m away from the house). Doing this I used a satellite to communicate with the router, then to transfer the Internet through a CAT7 cable connected to the satellite.

      Always struggled with speed issues in a 4 bedroom house. Finally took the plunge and what a difference. I’m now getting almost 1gbps in every part of the house. I’ve not had a single drop out in service and everything is working so well it’s almost unbelievable. Going from 100mbps to the full speed I’m paying for is amazing. It is worth every penny although it is a little expensive and I’m sure that will reduce over time

      I had a Netgear Nighthawk router before purchasing this system. I have Virgin Media optical fibre at 1 GB speed. Not only do I get 1 GB plus on the router, but I also get 1 GB plus on the extender.

      It is straightforward to install and looks far better than the Nighthawk RX.

      There's a slight downside: my Devolo doesn't connect to the Orbi. Not sure why?

      Item arrived promptly, packaged well and installed first time. Bought as a third Satellite to iron out signal loss in a problematically L shaped Bungallow with a multitude of walls and obstacles it’s solved an issue. Ordinarily I’d say a router and two satellites would be enough as they are powerful transceivers and too much overlapping signal creates problems too. But with a rethink and a shift around we’ve massively improved internal WiFi speeds as well as boosted use externally in the garden etc. I bought the original kit three years ago and now more devices are 6E compatible so starting to see the benefits of the faster speeds, and this extra satellite provides a better spread of signal for 6E as its range is less than 2.4GHz

      The main router seems solid and has a decent range, but the satellites/range extenders have a tendency to drop out at least once every day or so (mine are WELL within stated range), and takes a few minutes (sometimes requiring a reboot and re-sync with router, sometimes multiple attempts needed). Very annoying and at this price I'd expect a much more reliable connection

      The app is dreadful and pushes their (paid) security solution at you. The worst part about the app though is the lag. When there is a problem with one of the satellites it doesn't show for about 15 mins (reports everything as fine), so you can't reliably see which devices are connected to which wifi source as it's always out of date. App also does nothing to help you diagnose problems.

      Update: have disconnected the satellites as they are causing more trouble than hey are worth. Some equipment will not play nicely with other devices on the network if connected to a different satellite. This means I can't reliably use Roon because my roon server, phone (remote), and hifi (output) might not all be connected to the same remote.

      Had the same issue with sky Q multi-room boxes not talking to each other if connected to different satellites, or if one satellite goes down.

      So disappointed. Expected much more for the money. Downgrading review from 3 stars to 1

      Bought this to upgrade our Orbi RBK53S (router plus two satellites - which we bought in 2017) as it was starting to struggle with our ever-increasing devices count (would occasionally reboot itself and drop connections when loaded). It worked really well other than that.

      So here we are now with the RBKE963. The pluses are that it's easy to set up, it is considerably faster on WiFi connected devices as well as being able to reach them further away and have a lot more of them connected concurrently. I also like having a separate network for IoT devices. And they physically look nice, which is just as well because they're huge and you can't really hide them.

      The negatives are they are outrageously expensive and Netgear have the cheek to slap annual subscriptions on top for facilities that should come as standard, such as parental controls and cybersecurity. That really irks and is primarily why it drops a ratings star. The other thing that ain't great is the app and the web user interface dashboard are both quite slow and buggy... neither reporting back what's connected accurately enough being one of my main gripes with them. And my experience with Netgear is that they never really get on top of their software upgrade fixes... usually correcting one thing but breaking another in the process.

      Having said that, I've tried a few cheaper mesh systems and - as you'd expect - they don't perform as well as this... particularly with their range of coverage. I wouldn't recommend this system to everyone looking for a mesh for their home... there are a lot of features on this that are simply overkill... but if you want to future proof your WiFi a bit... like having features such as separate Guest and IoT networks, wireless backhaul, expandability... and can afford it's ludicrous price tag... the RBKE963 is difficult to ignore.

      **UPDATE**
      I recently had to add another satellite to this (bought one used as at the time of writing, new ones cost silly money). Whilst WiFi signals were reaching the garden room (about 40 metres away from where the router is located, for the security camera and smart speaker in there) it wasn't quite enough for stable streaming performance (it was fine for switching on remote plugs in there though). Adding the extra satellite improved matters no end. In fact, performance improved in other areas of the home that would normally struggle, such as the kitchen - in which devices there would connect to the garden room satellite now rather than trying to battle their way through the WiFi-unfriendly microwave and fridge freezer interferences to attempt connectivity to the router. Even better performance was achieved by reducing the WiFi transmission power (accessed via the web interface dashboard) down from 100% to 25% to help decrease what I theorise as "WiFi distortion"... a bit like having the volume on your audio system turned up to full volume. The whole system now works flawlessly in all corners of the home. So for any of you having issues with this system's connectivity, consider more / better placed satellites and reduce transmission power and hopefully like me, you'll experience better all-round performance.

      Dispositivos que realmente marcan la diferencia, después de haber probado el el RBK 962 estos no tienen punto de comparación el Backhouse tanto por Wi-Fi como por cable Internet va perfecto la velocidad de Internet tengo contratados 1 GB y los resultados que siempre me suelen dar está en torno a los 800 950 MB lo puedo describir como una auténtica mejora con la generación anterior, otro punto destacar el NETGEAR AMOR, ya que bloquea todas las vulnerabilidad que entra a la red doy fe de que bloquea. Mis anteriores dispositivos eran unos Linksys MX12.600, eran Wi-Fi seis con Tribanda una de dos con 4 GHz y dos de 5 GHz similar a estos, lo único que con el Wi-Fi siete, las velocidades son muy muy superiores, tengo que volver a renovar los dispositivos de casa de mi padre y de su oficina, y sin duda alguna apostaré por el RB 970 y para casa de mis suegros o resto de familiares recomendaré la versión inferior RB 870 o el RB 770 ya que el precio del RB 970 es muy elevado aunque la tecnología que lleva en el interior lo justifica tengo Wi-Fi en cualquier parte de mi casa que tiene 160 m² con tan solo dos nodos en cualquier punto de la casa me llegan 800 900 MB de velocidad sin duda alguna estuve un tiempo dando la vuelta debido a su elevado precio pero tras llevar tres días probándolo no me voy a arrepentir jamás con toda la tecnología que lleva en el interior los recomendaría para todo el mundo que pudiera permitírselo claro esta.
      El diseño el dispositivo es algo grande, pero encaja muy bien en cualquier punto de la casa pesa pero es muy bonito

      Je suis passé du velop de chez Linksys au ORBI 970, les points positifs sont les suivants : débit très stable et rapide, aucune variation, couverture correcte avec 3 appareils sur 300m2... installation relativement simple, problème de connexion avec iphone 15 pro résolu dès la première mise à jour. Dernier point, les appareils sont très design...
      Points négatifs : pas de support de fixation inclus, vu le prix, il aurait fallu le prévoir. Incompatible avec la box TV d'orange, soit on décide ne ne plus regarder la tv via cette box, soit on met en mode pont le routeur ORBI et on limite son utilisation.
      "Dernier point négatif, la portée reste identique à mon ancien système velop, il existe un vrai plus par rapport à la box6 orange mais pas sur un mesh datant de 5 ans..."
      "Ma note serait un 3/5 car le prix est un peu élevé aux vues des performances."
      J'ai relevé ma note car après une mise à jour, le système se révèle ultra performant, et beaucoup plus puissant...
