Get set for sweet Polly Pocket fun with the Hidden Hideouts Polly Candy Adventure compact! Open it up and find a candy factory full of surprises! The top portion of the compact has a perforated paper background that you can punch out in three different sections to reveal hidden hideouts, hidden reveals and 3 surprise randomized accessories (2 that micro Polly doll can wear). For example, one child may get a pink accessory, and another will get purple. Turn the cake on the bottom of the compact to make the chocolate fountain swirl so Polly doll can swim along the candy river; or she sit and relax on the chocolate chairs! With Polly Stick technology, micro Polly doll and friends can stick anywhere on the compact. Place a sticker from the sticker sheet (included) on the compact and the dolls will stick to the sticker wherever placed. Compact is small enough to take anywhere, anytime for fun Polly Pocket adventures. Includes hidden hideouts, hidden reveals, 3 surprise accessories (2 the doll can wear), micro Polly doll and sticker sheet. Choose from a variety of themes.     The Polly Pocket was purchased as new, but the manufacturer packaging arrived open inside the shipping box. There was just a small piece of tape holding the plastic packaging to the cardboard backing. The Polly Pocket does not appear damaged (although the top of compact appears slightly discolored). If I was an inbox collector or purchased it as a present, I would have returned it.

      I've collected all of the Hidden Hideouts sets that Polly Pocket has released thus far, and I snagged this one the moment I saw it. These are showing me that Polly has a lot going for her with these beautiful sets! The included mini doll has an adorable outfit with candy designs and pastel colors, and wears her hair in double buns. The set itself features a lovely cake in the middle of a lake full of candy with a pink waterfall, and the lake spins as you turn the cake around. There's also a wafer-esque surface near the lake with two small chairs that Polly can sit on. The upper half of the set features beautiful cutouts with themed artwork that hide special surprises both to play in and for Polly to play with. My sole complaint about this (and the line in general) is that we have to remove the cutouts to get to the surprises - the artwork is so beautiful I wish that we could simply slide them out and reuse them for backdrops (I'm an artist so I save them for this purpose, but it'd be nice if that part was already done for us). If you don't want the surprises spoiled, skip the next paragraph and read the final one!

      ***SPOILER ALERT*** The surprises included are a giant donut floatie that Polly can lay on at the lake, and a pink lollipop that she can hold. The included friend is an adorable gingerbread man, with adorable icing details on his face and body. Hidden behind the cutouts are a hot air balloon with a mint shape, a cute little living room with a couch and window, and a bedroom with a nightstand with a big chocolate bar that folds down to reveal a hide-away bed. The bed also has a small teddy bear sculpted behind it holding wrapped candy, which is easily one of the cutest features in the playset.

      On the whole, this is a beautiful set that fits in well with not only Polly Pocket collections, but also with Shopkins, Barbie Dreamtopia, and other sorts of candy-themed collections. I hope we see more of these soon - would love to see a few new characters added to the lineup, as well as a hidden hideout set with Nicolas. Keep up the wonderful work, Mattel!
