Uncle Ben's (INSTANT) or Minute Rice, is rice that takes about a minute to prepare. It's been either pre-cooked or parboiled or what have you, so depending on type - you can microwave it or boil in the bag or just follow it's quickie instructions. it's been made so it makes "fast rice". This Jasmine Rice from Golden Star is neither instant or minute rice. It is just plain long grain Jasmine (fragrant) rice that you must boil for a certain amount of time in a covered sauce pan, programmable rice cooker or pressure cooker, whatever your rice making preference is currently.

This jasmine rice are the best Quality. Easy to cook and perfect the outcome after when  you cooked. For me this Jasmine rice are excellent grade. 
My advice after you cooked and you cooked a lot . Saved and put in the zipped lock or any container put them in the fridge. To avoid spoiled . Because when you let them in room temperature your cooked rice . Guarantee will be spoiled easily. And of course we don't like it to eat spoiled rice.

Did not come boxed just dropped at entrance

First time purchasing this brand when I took it out of the box and put it on my counter I saw little black bugs (not ants) crawling Inside it thru the clear part of the bag logo. Disgusting who knows how many eggs were laid inside.

I built a delivery order, this was supposed to be shipped. The other items were delivered later on the day I ordered them. This was delayed several days, finally I got a shipping notice, with the comment " sorry we are late". The next day I get a message saying "good news, you are getting a refund!" It wasn't good news it was a poor job.

Hello, I got this rice in a timely fashion complete with crawling worms and at least one winged bug inside.  Gross.

Quality has changed or maybe I received. Bad bag?
This round the rice had lots of sediment and the texture seems different. I typically rinse my rice 2-3 times before cooking, but this bag I had to go almost six times before it didnt have weird brown floaters.

This is usually our go to rice, but this round the quality was very poor.

We emptied the rice into a plastic storage container like we always do and discovered lots of bugs crawling throughout the rice!!! This is very upsetting because we buy this rice often and my husband eats it almost everyday.

Opened a new bag this morning and there were literally at least 5 bugs/flies in it. It was disgusting! Suffice to say not ever buying this brand again. Called Walmart Customer Service and they refunded my money without any hassle.

We immediately put the rice into vacuum storage once we received it.  However, the rice has nevertheless still grown little insects from the rice by now.  Since the vacuum bag has not sign being pierced by any intrusion, we are very sure that the insect came with the original product.  We consume jasmine rice on a daily basis, and this is the first time in years.
