[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have an outdoor kitty and I find this feeder to be great for her.  It is battery operated and you will need to provide the four D batteries.  The components are made of plastic so they are easy to wipe down.  You have the option to select an immediate drop down of food if you would like and then can program for 1-6 meals per day at specific times.  The clock has 15-minute increments for the feeding time and you need to set the actual clock time before that.  The only thing I would find beneficial is having a corded option with battery back up.  Like I stated earlier, my cat is outdoors with her home in a pole shed and I think with winter in Minnesota, the batteries will have a shortened life expectancy.

I received this Digital Six Meal Feeder a few weeks ago, I was curious about how my dogs would react to it. To my surprise even the puppy began to eat from it. I really love the feeder because it can be set for six meals which means 3 days of feeding. This Digital Six Meal Feeder keeps the food fresher for my dogs, I have three. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a way to dispense a measured amount of food at a certain time for their pet. This way even if you aren’t there, you know that your animals are well cared for. 
The system is very easy to setup, the clock and mealtime settings are easy to understand and the feedings are “on time” every time. This makes using the Digital Six Meal Feeder very user friendly. I love it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Feeding is finally easy!

I will start right from the beginning. The feeder is easy to assemble (comes with batteries) and programming was a breeze. The bowl and holding tray removes with out a problem to clean. Loading the food is pretty much just pour it in and put the lid on. Each slot holds the same amount that the cup I used was holding. So that worked well for my dog. The only issue I have had was putting the lid on correctly to turn to lock into place. Though that could be just me. 
Now let me say that my dog knows when it time to eat like clock work. So this feeder has changed thing for us. No more being woke up on weekends at 5am because she ready to eat. When I would come home from work during the week, she would greet me with barking due to her being ready to chow. That too has changed for the better. I have the feeder set for 5am and 3 pm and life is good. This unit would be ideal for a cat owner that feeds once a day and then you would be set for 6 days.
I highly recommend this feeder for how easy it is to put together, program, clean and the way it’s built.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that I can put 6 feedings into this feeder! We feed our dog twice a day and with all the people in our house, we'd get confused on who fed her or if anyone fed her at all... This feeder will feed her for 3 days! It takes the thinking out of it. You just program it to when you want your dog (or cat) to eat, fill it and you're good to go! I'd say that this feeder is better suited for a small to medium size dog. It's good quality and we love how the pieces come out, making it very easy to clean. We love it! Just remember to refill the slots every three days or so...

I love this 6 meal dog food feeder.. We got Charlie (our Goldendoodle) recently and and he was a free feeder and our other 2 dogs are fed twice a day.  This feeder was a great way to train Charlie to eat twice a day.. The feeder was easy to use.. Programming it was simple and food dispensed when it was supposed to. The slots are a little much for our cat. So we just dont fill it all the way. It has a timer. So u can fill it for 6 days worth. Set the timer,  and it turns to the new slot. Dumps the food into a little bowl.  That comes with the feeder. It just slides under the feeder, in a slot

The feeder is extremely easy to use. It came already put together. The seperation insert and lid come out for easy wiping out. It is very user friendly and easy to set up. The digital display is easy to read. And I love that it runs on batteries. It can feed up to 6 meals at intervals of up to every 15 minutes. However, I use it to just feed once a day in the evening for my outside cat. It makes it easy to feed her in the dark and cold months. The only cons that I have found with the product is that I have not found a way for the actual food tray to come out so that I have to carry the whole feeder inside to refill it. I also don't like that it only holds 6 meals. In my opinion, holding a 7th meal so that it can be refilled on the same day every week would be much easier to remember. Works Great!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The setup of this feeder was pretty easy as the instruction manual that came with it was fairly straightforward. I had no problem putting it together since the only loose parts were the bowl and the lockable lid. Having the lockable lid is great for my sneaky cats and their prying paws. The bowl locks into place against the feeder too, and that's a plus so that it won't shift around or away from the feeder and get food all over the floor. On that note, this feeder would probably work best for a one or two-cat household. I have 5 cats, and my sister has 9, and we agree that it's harder to use a feeder like this for that many animals since multiple meals are needed to feed them all. Each meal triangle slot can hold a lot of food when full, but if my cats don't eat the entire portion from one of the slots that dispenses before the next mealtime then the bowl will overflow onto the floor when food is dispensed again. One solution would be to place the whole feeder without the attached bowl onto a large boot tray and have that act as the food catching apparatus. I tried this and it worked well, but it's not an ideal situation as it takes up more space and can be messy. Otherwise, multiple feeders will be needed to serve multiple cats to be able to feed smaller meals over the course of the day and not have the attached bowl overflow. However, you might still run into a problem if multiple cats decided to eat from one feeder instead of each cat eating from their own feeder. This doesn't negate the fact that this is an excellent little machine, and it would work well to serve my cats if I go out of town for a day or a weekend. So this is a useful device for me in that respect. I can use it as a daily feeder and operate it manually if I just place it in sleep mode when I don't want it to run. I wouldn't mind seeing an additional food tank for storage attached to this feeder. Having an attached storage reservoir would make it easy to transfer food into the slots when it's time for refilling. One more thing about meal times - I could choose to program the feeder to run before I leave for work and after I am set to be home so that I can monitor if the food bowl becomes too full. Overall, this is a quality machine that is helpful to have in my household, but there are improvements that I would like to see made.

Good if you have 1-2 pets

The feeder was advertised as being for dogs. The documentation suggests the best use is for a (one) cat. We have a 30 lb. dog and this feeder just doesn't cut it.
