Just got it, and I am simply amazed by the build quality, and how amazing it looks on the counter. I didn’t base my purchase on looks, however, this blender is simply sexxxxy which is a bonus, as most other blenders are massive eye sores no one wants on their counters.
Everything about this blender seems comercial grade…from the base, to the jug, to the gear mechanism that spins the blades. All steal, unlike cheaper blenders that use all plastic cheap gears. I also love the fact that the bottom doesn’t unscrew like other blenders, where many times it would loosen up while blending, and leak everywhere, or you’d tighten it too much, and then couldn’t unscrew it. My teenage kids always make shakes, and smoothies, and will love this machine.
I’ll revise my update after I use it a while

Funciona perfecto y tiene muchas funciones
Hasta sopa puedes hacer !!!!!
The Wolf blender arrived a day earlier than expected and it was shipped by Canada Post – I was so excited to get the blender that I didn’t pay much attention to the fact that the box was completely torn on one corner and had been taped up by someone. The parcel was left in the “parcel locker” in my building.
I opened the box and the blender was packed inside this box (not in a separate box inside the shipping box) and it was poorly packed. The base of the blender, which weights at least 10 Lbs just had a clear plastic bag around it and the box contained 3 bags of air as protection.
I inspected the base unit and found a few small dents in the stainless steel case and then I noticed the case itself no longer aligned with the rest of the unit. This had obviously been packed poorly and it was dropped while in transit or the base unit was so heavy that it tore the box.
Either way, I quickly wrote a note to Amazon and placed the parcel (exactly as it had arrived to me) into a much larger box (14x14x14) and padded the inside to prevent further damage and initiated a return. In fact, I had that unit back at the post office within 2 hours of receipt.
I was sorely disappointed and annoyed and I was very much looking forward to trying this blender out.
I want to give Amazon top marks for a flawless and very easy returns process and I did get a full refund for the blender. I did re-purchase the same Wolf blender but I purchased it locally, for about the same price.
I do have the Wolf countertop convection oven and have been more than happy with the oven, so I was expecting the same good things from the blender. I will admit; I was leery about the high price for the blender but I felt the same way about the convection oven too but found the oven well worth the price paid once I was able to see it and use it.
Also, I already have a fairly good blender at home and was willing to give the Wolf blender a try because it matched the Wolf oven I already had and they sit side by side on my counter. I unpacked the Wolf blender wiped it down, read the manual and set it up.
The first thing I was going to do was make a smoothie – I made this as I normally do and threw in 12 oz of milk, rolled oats, a handful of whole almonds, some cashews, a banana, protein powder, plain yogurt, a handful of dried sour cherries and finally about a cup of frozen sweet cherries (pitted).
The Wolf Blender has a pre-programmed smoothie setting and I set the wolf blender on the “Smoothie” setting and then pressed the start button. The blender ran through the smoothie cycle (about 45 seconds) and it stopped automatically when it was done. I grabbed the blender jar and stuck a large diameter, glass drinking straw into the blender jar and started to enjoy the smoothie I just made.
The smoothie texture was extremely smooth, almost silky or velvety and I was really enjoying the improved texture; I was impressed. This smoothie was not mildly gritty like my normal smoothie made in my Kitchenaid blender.
I was sipping away through the straw and then my straw suddenly became plugged and I couldn’t sip anything at all - - - At first, I wasn’t sure what the heck way happening - - this has never happened before.
I lifted the straw up and it was clearly plugged up at the bottom of the straw. I cleared the straw - - -it was a chunk of something that was not broken down. I was concerned but let it slide. I started to drink the smoothie and again, my straw became plugged up - - -this time it was a chunk of cherry.
My straw plugged up at least 5 more times by the time I was finished most the smoothie. As I was getting close to the bottom of the blender jar, I could see that there were actually almost whole cherries in the smoothie.
I poured out the rest of the smoothie onto a plate and this is what I found - - -(See pictures) Note: the white pieces in the background are some of the nut fragments I fished out with my finger by feel – I should have strained this but you get the idea.
I was totally disappointed and a little ticked off because I had high expectations for this blender and was totally let down. I followed the directions and used the pre-set button. It’s not that hard to do.
The smoothie was about 5-6 cups in total and had plenty of liquid. As mentioned, I have at least a smoothie a day and know how to use and load a blender properly. The Kitchenaid I’ve been using daily has NEVER left anything solid in my smoothies and I only use the pre-set smoothie setting on the kitchenaid blender. In fact, the kitchenaid smoothie cycle runs for the same amount of time and I’ve never once had my straw plug up.
I felt both disappointed/let down and annoyed that this expensive blender couldn’t even make a simple smoothie that was fully blended. Yes, the smoothie was like silk but with un-blended ingredients too. I did not spend this kind of money to have a smoothie that was not 100% smooth. I wanted to like this blender so much but….
A much less expensive blender performed this simple daily task, with the same ingredients, flawlessly; while this good looking and costly blender could not.
This is how the Wolf blender performed right out of the box for me and it was in a new, sealed box. So, the Wolf blender was carefully cleaned, dried and put back in its original box and I returned it to the store and got a full refund.
I have had my eye on the Wolf two slice toasters too but my experience with their blender is making me think twice. Yes, their products are beautifully designed and their design/form is a big part of their appeal for me but the product should function as well as it looks.
I have since purchased another high performance blender, again from Amazon Warehouse Deals and am waiting for delivery in a day. I have a feeling this blender will perform well and it’s from a well know brand that only makes blenders. Fingers crossed all will be stellar!
When I bought this, I figured the Wolf blender would put my Kitchenaid blender to shame from the many glowing reviews I read but it seems the Kitchenaid put the Wolf blender to shame instead, which really surprised and disappointed me.
Thanks for reading.
